obtaining mushrooms

I've cut down about 10 trees with the special symbols on them and absolutely no mushrooms have spawned for the whole week! Is it a sort of less is more type of thing? When I only had 2 special stumps in my town I got about 4 mushrooms a week but now, nothing! Can you only have a certain amount of mushrooms on the ground at one time before more grow?

does anyone know anything that could help me with this? I need lots of mushrooms for my town.

From my experience, it's usually random when it spawns. I sometimes get 5 a week. (from 1 stump) and sometimes go about 2-3 weeks without mushrooms spawning. I think you should just wait a little while more.

I think I read somewhere that after having 6 mushrooms on the ground, no more will spawn. Pick them up and more will appear the next day. o:

I think you may need to try and space out stumps but you might even have too many stumps! Try these sites I dug up for you you can use for future stumpiness and such:

I have quite a few stumps in my town and lots of mushrooms on the ground as decoration and I still get new ones spawn at least every few days. I think it's just random.

You can just have them free lol, my town spawns the red and white dot ones (forget the name, famous?) a lot. I think I have a few other types spawned recently as well that aren't needed, I'll go see how many I have spare and then post again .

Ok I'm checking what's spawned today, so far I have a famous mushroom, a round and a skinny. Were there any in particular you wanted? I can always raid my mushroom garden .

They spawn all year next to special stumps (stumps with a pattern), I think during November you have to gather any mushrooms up off the ground for the furniture to spawn.

Ok sure I'll add you as well, I'll just grab a few more . Is it ok if I bring them over? Trading in my town is awkward due to paths and items everywhere.
