The tier system is really silly! Obviously some villagers are generally cuter than others, but some of the top tier villagers don't make sense. I think most of the cutest villagers are mid to low tier, honestly.

But I agree about the tier list. It is silly and needs to be abolished.

I hate the tier list. All the tier 5 villagers are auto-void, but lots of tier 5 villagers are popular too! I hate the tier 1 villagers. They are so overrated. Don't do a tier list so everyone will get a fair chance.

YAAAAAAAAAAS i agree with this.
i am one thousand percent over the tier polls, the 'why does everyone like [x]' threads, the 'over rated' threads. . . everyone likes what they like, it shouldn't be exploited nor frowned upon to enjoy certain villagers.

All of my wanted villagers are/were low tier, and with patience I managed to get them all from the trading plaza, or from Reddit villager adoptions. I can take a few days of searching and watching, but you can do it! I personally find that Reddit generally has more lower tier villagers up for adoptions, and TBT has more higher tier auctions and more giveaways.

All but one of my dreamies are "tier 5", and I haven't had any trouble getting a hold of them.

I only have two of them so far, but that's mostly due to not TTing and having a full town.. I'd probably be pretty close to completion if not for that fact - I've had several people PM/VM me and offer to give me one of the dreamies from the list in my sig/profile. And for free, too.


And personally, I think the tier system can be pretty useful.. It helps to know how popular a villager is, so if you plan on selling/auctioning them off, you don't overcharge and risk not having any takers (plus if they're tier 1 you can make a decent amount of bells off of 'em ).
It also helps people who want to have a "unique" town avoid choosing frequently used villagers as their dreamies.

If they're lower tiers, people are very nice on this forum and will often go out of their way to message you if they see your signature or you posting about it~ From my personal experience, so it helps if there is no auction or raffle for it. Or checking cycling threads, you'll usually get the lower tiers easily if just occasionally browsing or searching keywords. However, its so hard to get higher tier villagers -sigh- ;w; I'm not rich in-game to buy high price auctions, and I've had no luck with raffles. I wish there were more villagers in demand, it seems only a handful are most wanted, which is why its harder to obtain them.
