Hello everyone! I love New Leaf so much! It is really hard to find New Leaf or even past games merchandise ever since New Horizons came out but I still love NH things! But thats not the point today. I was wondering if anyone knows any Niche New Leaf merchandise! I have been searching for a long time for things like this. I have a few things like the Animal Crossing Japanese balance toy sets (pictured below.) I was wondering if anyone knows any others. Also good sites to get them. I have been on the hunt for the japanese badge arcade sticker book, ACNL QR code and design books, and the mini dioramas for ACNL (That are EXTREMELY OVERPRICED.) but I am still looking for good prices! So if anyone knows anything like the pictures below that is similar and is NL themed then please tell me! Thank you so much!
Edit: Does anyone know where to buy the ACNL stamps? People such as HappyPuppyTruffles on youtube have videos on them.
Edit 2: I want any region merchandise such as english or japanese! (Most of the good stuff is Japanese though???)

AND I have found a ton of good stuff recently that I will be ordering. If you thought the Prima guide for new leaf was big than you will go crazy. The japanese guide book has 624 pages and LOOK AT IT :) I WILL BE ORDERING THIS SOON. If you want it just go on amazon.jp or ebay and look up: とびだせ どうぶつの森 ザ・コンプリートガイド
I have to look up: とびだせ どうぶつの森 because it translated to Animal Crossing New Leaf. Or "Flying Animal Forest."
If you dont know japanese it may be hard to understnad but the books are still amazing Novelty! I will update more when I find more stuff. I have been seeing alot! Even more this is just 1 OF THE GUIDE BOOKS. YEP THERE ARE ONES FOR SPRING AND WINTER AS WELL. I do not know about fall though. ALSO they had a ACNL manga series if anyone is interested in that.

Pictures of most of the guides:

There are so many of these books and I will be getting all of them eventually. They retail for about 2100 yen which is less than 20 dollars. Nowadays since they are rarer they go around $30 - $40 dollars. These pictures just show who was the favorite:

Wow! They look so gorgeous too! I love the "cluttery" style of AC. So much going on, so much for the eyes to look at! I'm too much of a cheapskate to get stuff like that and then I usually regret, hahah.
Personally I would love like notebooks, stickers, pencils and stuff, but I can only get it through Ebay here and it ends up too pricey for me, especially due to "out of country" taxes and what not. Blah! But this looks so amazing!!

ooh, congrats on all of your finds! everything here looks super awesome! animal crossing merch really does have such a unique style to it, and i love that spring and winter were given their own individual guidebooks! i had no idea about those (or any of this stuff, really), but i think it’s super neat!

i sadly don’t know of any other pieces of niche/obscure merch for you (nor do i own any), but i’d love the new leaf dioramas, as well as any of the sticker books! i honestly love stuff like that aha. good luck with finding more merch!

Yep! I love finding the rare stuff. I especially love the NL stuff because its my favorite! Its all so cool! And yes those mini dioramas are so cool! I hope oneday I can get them for not 75 dollars.... I LOVE THE GUIDEBOOKS. I am 100% ordering them! Its so interesting how many ACNL books were released in Japan while the USA only got the Prima one. We never even got the Welcome amiibo one. I just love it all!!!

Congrats on your find!! Between all the guides (assuming there's a fall one), that's more of 2400 pages of info, its amazing... I remember they would put QRs on the ACNL sections on magazines, maybe the guides have them too? I'm not sure how they managed to fill so many pages with info of a single game.

Back to how to buy obscure merch, I have been ordering merch directly from japan thru proxies for a few years. (basically you go to any japanese website, put the urls on a proxy and for a fee they buy the items for you and send them where you live) since that's the cheapest way I found to buy genuine stuff (and where there is most variety). If you want to do that, I will put a few sites and tips on the spoiler
I usually visit 2nd hand ones, you can find super cheap stuff and most people dont even take stuff out their original package. The ones I have used are Mercari and Suruga.
Mercari is nice because people often group various things together (so you can buy a few plushies or figures on the same order), but also it's kind of like ebay, it's individual people putting the prices so sometimes they get pricey. For Suruga, the things are SUPER cheap often because it's a pawn store (so it's the owners putting the prices, not the sellers).

[as a note, 100 yen = a bit less than $1)
And for proxies, its best to get informed and check which ones are less expensive for you, but the ones I use are white rabbit and buyee, I haven't had any problem with them yet.
Due to their fees, I usually use Buyee on Mercari and White Rabbit on Suruga.
Buyee has a ton of dumb fees, so the best thing is to only order one package (usually you will have to add an extra $15-20 for every item you add to your cart) that's why I use Mercari for them, since people often put more than one item on their listing, so a single package might be 3-6 items. Buyee sometimes also has offers where they discount fees or give you gift cards, so its good to be on the look for them.
White rabbit has lesser fees, 1000 yen per shop + 100-200 yen per order on the package. Sometimes you have to pay 900 yen for domestical shipping, but most of the time I either got fully or partially refunded. Because Suruga is so cheap (you can get good stuff for 200-500 yen), the cost starting the 5-6th item will be way lesser than if you use Buyee. Since it's all from the same shop, after the 1000 yen hit you barely get any fee.
(Mercari doesnt work for White Rabbit because the sellers have to be contacted individually, so they count as different shops and each order from them will be charged with those extra 1000 yen. Depending on what the mercari person is selling, sometimes its worth that fee tho if you're combining it with other orders)

I tried to explain my best, but I know it all may look confusing 😅 But if you have any question you can ask me ^^ It's also good to look sites of figure collectors and such, since they usually discuss how they buy from japan and problems/good experiences they had with shops and proxies.

Dude this is so cool! This is like... the kind of collection I wish I could have with Pokemon stuff. The unfortunate thing there is the bigger fan base and way higher resell value, so it's a lot harder to get your hands on things like that for that cheap especially with shipping and imports.

Seeing those guides is AMAZING. I can't read Japanese (not anything out of like 2 katakana and some hiragana), but I could see myself flipping through each individual page, taking it all in. Game guidebooks like this have always been a weirdly specific niche interest of my own and its so nice seeing someone else like them!

The toys are also super neat. I wish that they had stuff like this out in the West (especially cheaper in the few places you can go, but again, importing).
