A little while ago, a friend of mine had her ACNL game stolen from her DS. She had lost all of dreamies that I had gotten for her (Zucker, Marshal, Beau, ect.) and we were both pretty upset about it. But she got herself a new copy and found herself the perfect map, and had gotten Marshal and Beau again from giveaways. Today I found a dreamie for her that I didn't think I would find for a while.

I'm currently using a friends game to help her move villagers out, and the campsite was up, I walked inside and almost screamed. Her favorite villager, Zucker, was there! He was the hardest to find for my friend before, and seeing him in the campsite made my day ;O:!

What a lovely surprise. I hated my map so I restarted. I know I'm going to be happier in the long run, but I am pretty sad without my babies. I did manage to find MY perfect map with Chief in it, though.

So sad about your friend having her game stolen out of her 3ds. I guess that's a point in favor of getting the digital copy but I still prefer the physical copy. Strange that the 3ds wasn't stolen also.

Lol no I had that same reaction too because they just took it out of her DS, and didn't take the system, it's weird. It was like, at Gamestop or some random game store we have, probably 2nd & Charles or Disk Replay. She had her DS on the counter and turned for like a second and someone just took it.

That would probably explain it, cause if they had taken the whole system, you would have noticed straight away. But with only the cartridge gone, you won't notice it that soon... And whoever stole can still get a decent amount of money for a used cartridge...

It happened to a friend of mine, who was in a secluded area of university (in the greenhouse even..) and she let her bag alone for like, 15 minutes. The only people who were supposed to be there are mostly known to all of us working in the greenhouse, but when she got home and unpacked her bag her laptop was gone... It was a low-weight laptop, so she didn't notice immediately when picking up her bag...

I tried buying my friend a copy before she could buy herself a new one since it was right after her birthday :c I felt so bad considering the stuff she's been dealing with. But I plan to surprise her with Zucker once he moves c:

aw thats great!! it sucks their cartridge was stolen, I try to keep a close eye on my 3ds when I take it out of my house just in case

I had the same incident with my Wild World. My brother borrowed it as he was bored, played a bit of pool, looked back (being in mind it wasn't far from him) and EVERYTHING was gone. The ds, games and case :L (not bothered about the case, but come on)

Yeah, the person could get the cartridge and either sell it, OR sell villagers for real money (and items)- happens often on eBay

I know the pain all too well. When I was in high school I had my gameboy in the front pocket of my backpack and during gym class we had to leave our backpacks against the wall by the door while we did our gym stuff. On the train on the way home I wanted to play my gameboy (had Super Mario Land in there!) but when I opened the front pocket my gameboy was gone. I was in shock. I still remember the heartbreak to this day! I knew who did it too cause this one kid wasn't feeling good and sat out near the backpacks. He must have seen me putting the GB in there before class. The next day I confronted him and he denied it.

The worst part was I wasn't allowed to have the gameboy (anti video game parents ugh) and me and my brother had secretly bought it from a rummage sale. I couldn't tell them about it or else maybe they could have spoken to a teacher or someone about getting it back. I just had to suffer in silence. And my brother was pissed haha.

Whaaat? They don't have cameras for that sort of thing? Usually they have them pointed at the door and the register. Makes me sad that someone would resort to that. >:c
