Number of human players?

Only my Mayor character, even though it limits my path pattern options. It just feels wrong to have more than one human character in a village imo.

Both hold 5 path patterns. I often create another for plot reset purposes, but I want at least one more for the last bits of path qr codes I need to put down and storage/decorating ideas

I use three. They're basically for path storing. It's also nice because I can have extra storage for items and decorating the rooms in the houses are fun!

I only have 2 villagers. I will admit I like my second character better than my mayor only because of the eyes, but I don't play them all that much. Before I wasn't going to make them at all but I decided when landscaping that I wanted to create a themed establishment, thus my new villager was born. I named them Comet, which is very fitting for the theme of their house but I won't spoil it just yet. She wears dresses more often than my mayor does, although my mayor's house is going to be a castle so she needs some elegant dresses, she's kind of an old fashioned villager in my head anyway, so I stick to putting her in dresses. I plan on using her for paths too though, I don't plan on getting a third character since I only use a two tile path so I won't be needing her all that much.

I have 3 humans, Mayor Lainey, Janitor Chris & Mule Michele. Lainey is the only one who lives a full NL life & talks to the villagers. Chris holds the path patterns & does all the tree planting & hybrid maintenance. He also has all the yearly event sets in his house, like Pave, & Mushroom. Michele has all the event furniture & special items in her house.

I try to keep Chris & Michele's mailboxes clear & usually only bring them out a few times a month.

I just make due with the 10 path spots, it feel unnatural to me to play as two different characters, so I never saw the benefit outweigh this unnatural feeling

Just one, although for Art//Story Purposes my mayor isn't actually a human ;u;
She's a dog, a Border Collie to be exact! Her name is Olivia and the only similarities between her and my mayor, are the outfits they wear and the hairstyle c:
I honestly dislike having more than one character in a town, I don't quite know why but that's always been the case ;u;
In my other towns//cycling towns it's a bit of a different case, but in Maemi Olivia will be the only "human" resident! c:

Four just as it was from the beginning, because every single one gets a money rock, but too bad they all "forget" to collect it, and the greedy mayor comes along and pockets all the money he "finds"! LOL Yeah, I primarily do it for the money/nugget rocks, but also for the large amount of storage since it's quadrupled. Not to mention all the extra rooms you can do with 3 more characters. I'm seeing now why I'm pushing 5,000 hours playing this game, play as 4 "people" everyday, it kind of adds up!!

in my main town i have three; my mayor (me), a side character for path storage who's super cute, so it works out, and a character i made for my boyfriend. i literally only ever use the one side character if i mess up my paths by accident or if i need more storage for sets or something, otherwise i never touch her. i do wish the other characters wandered around outside like the villagers when you aren't playing them, tho​

I have three avatars in my town. Two of us work hard to keep our town nice and the villagers happy !! My third avatar is used as a salesperson. I built her house up by the train tracks and made it into a flower shop/store. I keep hybrids and plants and lots of little things in there people like to buy on here and other sites. I keep popular furniture sets like rococo in her storage and you can browse the store and everything inside is for sale. You need only to step outside to complete the deal. Most thing are either given as gifts or I like to trade !!
