Buying a second copy of New Leaf was how I got myself out of my long hiatus, so I totally understand! I just had no motivation to play but there was no way I'd willingly reset it and lose everything.

Man me too. I had 2 copies for NL and loved having two towns (albeit I had much more to do on NL with how expensive everything was). I really wish I could have a second island to go crazy with terraforming and use new ideas but two Switches are absolutely not worth it for the price. I'm too scared to reset out of regret or change things up and end up not liking it since I like it now. Oh well

I can't really justify $300 for another switch (especially with the shortages now).

I'm tempted to buy another Switch. I bought my Switch in 2017, which means I have the model that runs out of battery twice as fast. It's hard to fight the temptation because I want to use that as justification for buying another Switch
