If you don't mind me asking, how can you be sure? I've traded all other events with no problem, so I don't see why there'd be an issue with this one :/
From what *I* understand, and I could be wrong, the pokeball vivillion has a ribbon and it's my experience that you cannot trade pokemon with ribbons because they are "special pokemon". I was unable to trade a few of my pokemon because of this.
Is it the Premier Ribbon? :c The Premier Ribbon is attached to all event Pok?mon released in Gen 6 ^^ Pok?mon with Premier Ribbons should also be in a Cherish ball.

Pokemon in cherish balls and with premiere ribbons cannot be traded from what I remember. I dunno I haven't played Y in a few months. I got my pokeball vivillion from a friend's gamesaves so I could get one because they are France exclusive right now. I'm not about to offer it for trade, that would be horrible. Besides it's cute :3. The vivillion are my favourite pokemon.
Again I could be wrong but I'm not the only one saying it so...
I'll check with my girlfriend the pokenerd and confirm.

You can trade event/Premier ribbon/cherish ball pokemon with friends and acquaintances,
you just can't trade them over gts ~
I have pokemon in cherish balls I cannot trade at all.

Certain cherish ball pokemon from my experience have not been able to be traded even with friends/acquaintances. I am unsure if it is the cherish ball itself or if it is by some other reasoning.
