Notifications?

When you post a thread and someone replies, someone messages you, etc are you supposed to be getting a notification? The only notification I get is an email and I don't always check my email, I'm new so I don't know if this was like already covered in another thread, but it gets annoying just having to check your thread over and over to see if anybody replied.

Well you can always click settings to see the threads you're subscribed to, but no there isn't currently a way to get notified about replies that I know of.

You can subscribe to a thread, but it won't give you the same notification a PM will. Clicking on "Settings" at the top of the screen will show you your subscribed threads.

PMs give you a pop-up on the forum and VMs will give a little notification next to the "Notification" tab at the top of the screen.

Note: The pop up won't work if you use a pop-up blocker.

This morning I had about 14 Post Thanks/Likes notifications...I've never seen those before and it seemed like they were for likes from a while ago...will those continue?

On another thread, Kaiaa said "People now get notifications for their liked posts", so I'm guessing that will continue.
