Notification won't go away?

I have a notification on the top bar, which says that I have 1 unread visitor message. Whenever I click it, it just leads me to my profile just to show me that I have no new visitor message. but it still won't go away. ?___? It's really bothering me now. How do I get rid of it? ._.
