I've been using the diving trick to get 1 PWP each day for the past month but lately I haven't been getting requests anymore... i've been diving for 3hours and I'm not getting PWP request :( I'm still missing the snooty type PWPs! it's the only thing left I need to complete my catalogue. I wonder why I'm not getting anymore PWP now

I always get more requests if I build something - something small & removable, bench, street light, starts the requests again.
But I have to keep doing this, ie every once and while I have to build something to kick start it again.

If you have a lot of PWP in town that might slow down more requests? I haven't got many PWP so not sure on that.

Are you only going to snooties? I would try to trap your snooty right by where you're going to come up to guarantee it's them who pings.

i also get a lot more public works project requests if i build something small.
idk if it's true but i heard if u're nicer to villagers it increases ur chance??(๑^ں^๑)

I'm also having trouble with this problem. I have 2, one from a Cranky and one from a Peppy. I'm not worried about the Cranky one but the Peppy one I am. I want the Fairytail Bridge from Puddles but she won't ping me either. I've been trying to 3 days now. It's so annoying. I'll try the build a PWP idea though. Good luck getting your last one. ( :

Maybe your timings off, sometimes I stay in the water longer than i'm supposed to. Have you talked to your snooty? because sometimes you'll need to talk to them again once doing the diving trick, because they might say you need to take a break. Good Luck ^-^

Yeah, if you play for more than an hour, you'll have to talk to a villager to get the "you should take a break" dialogue out of the way. You should talk to another villager besides the snooty though or she will not ping you.

I'm pretty sure they are random to get, I usually just leave my game on and check back on villagers from time to time. I have days where I constantly had pings for new public work projects and some other days or through out the week it was very rare. I gues it's good to keep in touch with your villagers just in case they ping randomly

Can someone point me into the direction of what this diving trick is, because I've seen it referenced plenty of times but I don't know where to find information on it?

The method goes like this:
First you need to get a wetsuit. A timer is optional. It'd be best if you empty all of your bells (optional) into the bank and also fill your pockets with flowers only (important!). I'll talk about that later.

Now you just go into the ocean, and set the timer to 5 minutes (or just look at the clock). After 5 minutes, run around in your town to check if one of the villagers will ping you. The point of waiting 5 minutes and actually going to the ocean is so you stay out of sight from the villagers. When villagers ping you, them asking for a PWP is not always going to be the first thing they say. That's where the flowers in the pockets/no bells comes into play. By having your pockets full, the villagers will not ping you about selling/buying so you have a higher chance of getting them to ask you about PWPs. However, there's still the chance of them asking about greetings/catchphrases/nicknames.

You could also 'trap' the villagers by digging holes around them so they can't move, just to make the process of finding the villagers you want to see faster. In addition, if it's been past an hour, it's very likely that they won't ping you after the hour because you've been playing too long. Just talk to one of the villagers and then continue. Good luck! (:

I rarely do the diving trick and I get PWP on a daily basis mostly. Just by doing other things, like watering your flowers, or checking your mail, you can get villagers to ping you when they see you. I got all uchi PWPs mostly as soon as I closed the door of my house, as Flo lives nearby and when she saw me, she pinged and she told me to consider X PWP she suggested. That was every day for a week, lol.

Very true, if I build something stupid such as a uneeded lamp-I will normally always get a request. If that fails then I do a bigger project and usually right after get pinged for the project. It hasn't failed me yet.
