I don't remember if its against forum policy to talk about other forums, but I remember only one forum I've ever been on (Other than this one now). When I was 11 I was obsessed with the Warrior Cat forum, kind of obsessed like I am now(with this one), It's like I'm binge posting. I nonstop roleplayed. I stuck with it about a year, until I realized it was overrated and there was wayyy to much drama.
Though when I look back on it, it seems that it was a positive experience.

I'm not actually seeing alot of drama, though I've only been a member 2 days.. Hence junior member status.. But is there? And is there any nostalgic forums like this for you?

RIP NSider and all its ****tyness

Still wish Nintendo just closed and kept as an archive though. Internet Archive isn't too reliable for it.

I was obsessed with posting on a forum dedicated to now defunct British girlband Girls Aloud in like 2007.

I miss Girls Aloud tbqh.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think it's okay as long as you're not advertising them. Anyway, Sonic Blast was the first forum I ever joined. It's not very active now, though it was once a very active Sonic the Hedgehog community. I'd rather not speak of how awful a poster I was back then, though. It is truly embarrassing, darlings.

The first forum I joined was on like Smosh's website. I had so much fun on that site, but I can barely remember it.

I used to be huge a otaku in high school and became obsessed with the original Onemanga forums in my senior year. They shut down the site and forums and I don't read as much manga as I used to because I raised my standards quite a bit, but I still check out the new forums from time to time.

I was obsessed with the Warriors forums for about a year when I was like twelve. I had a lot of fun on there, I just lost interest.

I've spent many an hour on the boards at TheForce.net. That along with a couple of boards that some friends set up.

#memories

I never liked forums that much but I used to always play moviestarplanet and use the forums on there >w<

A forum for an MMO that I acted like a complete, noisy idiot on and it was great. met a lot of people I will always offer my help to should they need it, even if we don't talk anymore.

I was really dumb HAHA and really young and not self-aware at all. even though they always told me "you act older than you are!", looking back on it, I really wasn't anything special. I was just quick to adapt and even quicker to please. And yet, later on, when I was more bitter and crude and even pointlessly sadistic to an extent, they were always the people I could go back to. well actually most of them had moved on by that point, but it wasn't like they all hid themselves. I've managed to find near all of them in these past two years or so, and every single one of them still welcomed me with open arms. hope they doin well these days.

OH right, the community for Fantasy Earth Zero was quite fun as well. hehh. Not nearly as attached, but the sense of community there despite it being a PvP MMO was very interesting. pls bring back fez.

Animal Crossing Community. I looked at the site again after being permanently banned 6 years ago thanks to my 10 year old self, and I remembered a lot of good memories that happened there.

The Sims 2 UK. I joined in 2005, quickly became one of the most active users, and was pretty damn proud when the community reps approached me to use my graphics and promoted one of my Sim's stories on the TS2 UK home page. It was merged into a larger community in 2007.

Electronic Arts UK, around five years after the merge of all the official UK communities (inc TS2UK) they eventually closed the forum completely. Not even the archive is accessible now. It's kind of sad to look back at now, considering I spent all of my teenage years heavily involved with this forum. I amassed over 23k+ -posts in the years I was a member, won physical prizes, and even met people from the forum. I was also offered the opportunity to play The Sims 3 before it came out in order to write a review on the CAS feature.

JanNoWriMo, it seemed to just vanish in late 2014. Poof. I heard it was due to a fault, but I don't know if it'll be repaired and revived. This was the first writing community outside of NaNoWriMo I joined, and although I was one of the youngest users in the community when I first joined in 2006 they taught me a lot. Unfortunately, I found out today that the member I most actively spoke to and respected has passed away. Even if the forum does come back I'm not sure if I will.

JulNoWriMo, I considered this forum my "home" on the internet until very recently. I was a member since 2008, a mod since early 2010, involved in a video blog, and the highest poster with over 20,000+ posts. I even met another user from the forum IRL, with us both having to travel to a different country in order to do so! The admin sadly made the decision to close it at the end of 2014 due to declining interest ever since Camp NaNoWriMo began running in July.

Hm, wow.. Probably a Swedish forum named BC Manga (it was like home for everyone in Sweden interested in manga and Japan in general you could say). It was, with a lot of trolls but hey I made some friends there :)

It closed due to people hacking and spreading hentai, but the staff and mods were corrupt as hell, so

4chan....I discovered when I was 5-6.... I was a dumb child. Good thing I didn't look at [CENOSRED] and stuff....

NAH JKS My first forum I signed up for was Gamefaqs... When I was like 8 or something..

In Spain (not sure about other countries) there's a private TV called "Digital Plus", which had a children's club where you could join giveaways, you could play online games and, most important, you could post in a forum where everyone was from 10 to 14. It was great to speak to people about your troubles and them understanding you, and also talking about your interests, your dreams... We ended up being a family. Unluckily, the forum closed due to the unactivity :(

ACC, man. Eventually, I got tired of the mod's constant bs, left and came here. The forum has a lot of memories, though. [A lot of them cringe-worthy, though...]

Lego Message Boards aka the LMB
NSider
BZPower
TBT 1.0
Pokeplushies/Click Critters

All stuff I dedicated way to much time too good bye world.

pe2k (Pok?mon Elite 2000) it wasn't the first forum I ever joined, I think that was the Namco forum when I was deeply obsessed with Tales of Symphonia but either way I was still an embarrassing 12 year old on both of them. Pe2k is defunct now I think they moved to a new server.

Let's see...

I remember that I've been participating on the forums (such as Creatures Caves) for a relatively obscure franchise called Creatures, made by Creature Labs. At that moment, I was 8 years old! Which is why I don't remember much aside of myself dreaming on integrating Yoshi, Koopa and Bowser as the new species. That and getting temporarily banned for illegally bringing download links for more Norn races while being completely unaware of the rules. These communities still exist, but all of my posts were gone after they transferred to another server, so I saved myself from further embarrassment. But still, that was fun.

Then, there's NSider from the official site of Nintendo of America. Nothing much to say here, but the staff not allowing us to share friend codes is a real bummer, because the Japanese giant was still waaaaaaaaaaaayy behind when it comes to understand on how Internet works. I'm still embarrassed with the posts I made there as JC5555, but nowhere near bad as when I was much younger.

This is why I went to GameTalk Forum. I could post here without having to go through the Join page, and this is when more of my first successful Animal Crossing: Wild World Wi-Fi sessions were done, albeit with the snail-paced lag-fest dial-up connection. I would frequently end up disconnecting too many times, but I was apparently hyper patient to deal with it. Anyway, the forum's UI is kinda cheesy by today's standards, but it's still practical to me. The official forum is forever down since 2008, but there's an alternate GameTalk forum with the nearly identical UI is made by someone else.

Next, an old friend of mine suggested me to join AXA Forums. It was one of the big 3 Animal Crossing communities by the time I joined and Animal Crossing: City Folk was announced. The staff there was a bit stringent with the rules, so the learning curve is kinda high. There was even no linking to YouTube videos! That didn't prevented me to stick for a longer while, mainly thanks to its charming members. Unfortunately, the forum started to go downhill when the first server crash happened in late 2007 and had to create a new forum from scratch. It lasted a few months, but that was enough for it to cause a huge amount of members to never come back again. It repeated again in October 14th 2009, because someone figured out what was the password for one of our administrators and made a mess. The forum was disabled and it shouldn't take long to clean it up. Problem is, the master admin forgot to reactivate the forum and it took 9 months for it to become fully operational. Meanwhile, a massive amount of users were gone and I ended up joining TBT 1.0. As time gradually passes, AXA Forums was falling further and further, and not even Animal Crossing: New Leaf could save the day. And all of that was due of the lack of presence of that master admin, therefore not encouraging us and the staff member to fully involve on a dying forum. It eventually became a ghost town around the time Fall 2014 arrived. Oh well, this is quite possibly the most memorable experience I had with a forum.
