An apology forpointingoutthewhy was stated longago

I was heavily debating sharing this news considering the condition of the forum right now, however, if I didn't know about this news and was still wanting to make some nintendo purchases (second hand market or new products), I would appreciate someone who left to come back and say something real quick about this since forum accounts currently can't be deleted for whatever reason and this forum's members is heavily Nintendo based.
I request no tagging, pms, or collectibles sent to me whether they are kind or not.
The sad thing about this Nintendo announcement, is that Canada already has high prices. Price changes could mean going up or down on the NOS which is not physical by nature. Switch 1 digital games are not physical by nature so I fail to see the justification in raising the prices on these digital items, which I assume Nintendo is raising them and not dropping them.
Even if you aren't in Canada, we don't know if Nintendo will try this in other nations next for whatever reasons why wish to announce.
The Switch 1 as most people know, is an old console now that the Switch 2 has launched. So though it is physical in nature, and even though Nintendo labeled it as the cheaper Nintendo console alternative, raising the price I feel many consumers will not like by any means. Sure maybe Nintendo plans to keep switch 1 around longer... But at that point why allow Doug Boswer to point at the switch 1 and say that is your cheaper option if you feel the switch 2 is too steep?
I would also assume, just like the NOS effects the switch 2, amiibos will be the same since they aren't categorized as switch 1 or switch 2 accessories unlike controllers or protective cases.
So I guess think about what you are still wanting to get or if you still even want to get some stuff, and keep an eye out on prices
