I am trying to get a higher friendship status with Lobo and Whitney in one of my games, and Lobo asked for some fruit. So, I transferred a perfect apple from one of my more advanced games to this one to see if he would become better friends. I found him in his house and gave it to him, and his reaction was completely normal! He didn't even mention that it was a perfect fruit from another town! (my native fruit is pear in this town) Is there a reason why he was so nonchalant about receiving a PERFECT FRUIT from ANOTHER TOWN? I'm honestly so confused, did I have to be better friends with him for him to care or something?

i think it has to be a perfect fruit from your own town in order to get a certain reaction. idk though.

The villagers won't mention if their perfect fruit comes from another town but they just about always have more of a reaction to non-native perfect fruit than native perfect fruit and they usually give better gifts in return for it.It might be that your friendship with Lobo isn't at a high enough level for him to have the reaction you expected. With some villagers it takes longer(sometimes a lot longer)to get friendship levels to a specific point. If I remember correctly,I've read that a villager's personality type might have something to do with how quickly your friendship level rises with them.Since Lobo is a cranky it might take a bit longer than with a more easygoing personality like lazy or peppy.

That makes sense, I haven't played this particular save that long and haven't fully bonded with most of my villagers yet... oh well :/
