How do you know it was a hammer head shark if you didn't catch it?

I saw a shark in the ocean... It had the fin sticking out of the water, so i cast my silver fishing rod and waited until it bit the bait. THEN, right when it bit i pulled it so quickly it must have been too fast! AND IT LEFT! AHHHHHHHHH! Damn my cat-like reflexes.

This stinks. But I'm sure you know what I'll say considering how you smack talk me.
