What the hell are you guys talking about? Ponyo may look a little low-key, but it's by HAYAO MIYAZAKI aka the Man Who Has Never Made A Bad Movie... I don't see what the problem is. Some of his films are worse than others, i.e. Totoro, but they're all watchable.

Disney handles the publishing outside Japan, as they've done for the last couple of movies... IIRC, Howl's Moving Castle was also localized by them.

Favorite anime of all time. And also this is based off of the story of the Little Mermaid, so it can't be too bad.

I'm not suprised, Anime is just going to get more and more popular in other places other than japan, before there weren't nearly as many video game nerds as there are now, and you were considered a nerd if you played them, now look at video games 20 years later. 20 years from now, Anime will be like it is in japan.
