Not necessarily... he could have picked variety, but another human player on his Wii picked something else, like either hours or balance, then Nook averages out the votes. The first time we got asked that at my house, we had one vote for variety, two for hours, and one for balance. We ended up with Nookway. I was disappointed, since my vote was for variety.
