Nook cranny upgrade help...

hi... so I'm wondering how do I unlock the ability to upgrade the nook cranny?
I read that you need to spend a certain amount and also play around 28 days.

I spent A LOT. I buy everything everyday and also buy all my tools including the 100 axes to unlock gold axes. So I know I hit spending limit unless really high...

But I checked my active resident and its at 40days (I TT thats why)

Any one else have any theories on how to unlock it? I haven't yet finish Project K, so maybe thats why?

Well that is what it says on the wiki, so I'd presume it's correct. Does OP know how much they spent?

I wonder if I need to go to a town with it upgraded because I have spend well over 70k. I bought 100 axes from them and thats 80k alone

I thought you needed to break 100 axes to get the golden axe, not buy them? Or did you just buy 100 so you have a stockpile ready to go through and break haha

Supposedly 28 days real time needs to pass and Project K needs to have been completed.

Have you been TTing forward and backwards? Because it may need to be 28-30 days forward to count. So your 40 may account for backwards days but not towards updating cranny.

People have been posting Youtube videos on the game, and they haven't completed Project K, but have the updated Nook's Cranny.

I bought them to break them so I didn't use my materials haha

been wondering the same thing i do exactly what you do; buy out the shop everyday and buy all tools...let us know if/when it upgrades

Nevermind. It says on the wiki Resident services must be a town hall.
