Noisy pets

I love the cricket and the frog as pets in my house. In my last town I had both as pets with no music playing, because I just loved to listen to their combined gentle ribbit and chirp. Not to mention, the cricket enclosure looks very cute. It's a wooden cage, and it always goes well with my sense of style, since I like earthy tones/furniture.

But, until now I hadn't actually considered getting any other (noisy) pets besides those two. Today I decided I also wanted some cicadas, because I like how the robust one sounds. I wanted to put her in the same room as my frog and cricket, just for atmosphere, but apparently, if there are more than two noisy animals in a room, only two of those animals will make noise!

My cicada and frog were chirping their special little hearts out, but my cricket was... completely silent!
So I briefly took the frog away, and then my cricket and cicada began to sing together. I put the frog back, and the cicada went silent. Interesting!

Too bad though. I'm only a little disappointed, because it would have been really funny to just have a room filled with only cicadas and have them scream all day. Imagine the utter confusion I'd cause when streetpassers or dream walkers see my home.

It's also a shame that only four gyroids can make noises at once. I wanted a room filled with a bunch of gyroids for the same purpose.

I don't really put living things in my houses because they produce weird noises and take up a lot of space.

When I first started acnl I had a fish (Dorado maybe) on the top of my kitchen island, not on the part of the stove! XD

I have frogs and crickets. Plus every home I have has gyroids because I absolutely love them!

I have a pet colecanth in my house i named him Rocky!
I also have a Super Sea Snail that i named Shelly tho its a boy.

I like the birdcage. Maybe I'll find a place for it in my house once I actually start decorating.

I only have the bell cricket in my back room, it's very soothing.

Creatures don't belong in cages or tanks, even in a game.

ive got a goldfish that i wish made a woosh noise lmao
but yess frogs... my villagers bought mine bc i stupidly was walking along with mine

Creatures definitely don't belong in the small tanks they're shown in in acnl, definitely, but a lot of enclosures can be really good for animals if done right. Ball pythons love a rich environment with lots of climbing branches and places to tuck under, for instance!

The goldfish enclosure in acnl makes me sad. Bowls are really really bad for fish. They need huge spaces to swim in and lots of stuff to interact with.
