Nobody’s crafting spooky recipes

Checked my villagers during all 3 crafting time slots today. No one was crafting anything spooky. I have all the recipes that are currently available, but I was hoping to collect candy from repeat recipes. I think the same thing happened yesterday, but I wanted to verify today before posting.

The game knows if you have the DIY’s already or not & does not give repeats. Unless you buy from someone else or make another character

Yesterday both Islands had no Halloween DIY recipes from villagers. Today I've only had 2 crafting slots with no Halloween recipes.
All players on both island have completed their Halloween DIY recipes. Villagers do give candy or pumpkins when it's a repeat Halloween DIY.
I've got repeat Halloween recipes from balloons.

it was probably just bad luck. The same thing happened to me on the second or third day of October, and I didn't even have half of the spooky DIYs yet at the time

This happens when you have already acquired a spooky DIY that a villager is working on. So if a villager is making a spooky arch and you already have that DIY from a different day, that villager will give you candy or five orange pumpkins.

I think I have all the ones I can get before Halloween. So I’m not missing recipes. Just hoping for more candy.

Forgive my lack of comprehension tonight. I understand what you said here, but clearly I was not paying attention.

This has happened to me the last couple days. Other than the carriage which I know we don’t get til the 31st, I’m still missing the table setting, garland, and wand (not sure if this is a Jack DIY though). My villagers are just crafting their normal DIYs, no pumpkins or candy offered since they ain’t crafting these...

If all accounts on your island learned the regular spooky diys already, your villagers won’t craft them anymore. You can visit someone else’s island when a villager is still crafting to get candy or pumpkins. We have two islands, one island only has one account who learned all the regular spooky DIYs, so the villagers there stopped crafting them. The other island has two alt accounts never learned spooky diys after collecting them, so the villagers on that island keep doing spooky diys every day.

Because I have the recipes already, my villagers won't craft them anymore. I have got candy and/or pumpkins by visiting other islands that are crafting.

If you're looking to get extra candy, the easiest way is to pop into another island's shop. You can purchase a piece from a friend's shop, even if you already bought from yours.

You can also buy candy each trip when you visit the same island on the same day multiple times. If you really want to get more candy, pm me tomorrow, I can open gate so you can come several trips. (Just realized it passed midnight here, so you can visit in the morning if you want).

You're not alone. I already acquired all spooky recipes except the ones handed on the 31st. I have yet to score a free candy or pumpkin from my villagers.

That could be fun. I have to take the dog to the vet mid-morning, so after lunch is probably better.
