No Turkey Day

Where do you live? Turkey day should be on the 26th, and starts from 9am to midnight. Though I’m sorry if it is already the 26th for you and it’s still not showing up! The only thing I could think of is if your animal crossing is updated to the latest version.
 
I'm in Ireland and Turkey Day is in full swing. Is your switch in flight mode or anything like that?
 
I had to manually update last week as it wasn’t done automatically. Maybe this could be your issue too?
 
Might have to make sure your switch's clock is synced to the internet. Then you might have to tt back to the 25th, and tt forward again to 'reset' the day.
 
Are you online? This happened to me once on an event. I went to the online shop, then got out. Then make sure in the opening scene your update version ends the number with an «a». And tt to start the day again if necesary. I will have to try it myself too when I arrive home since last time I played offline...
 
@ udinafrog I was having the exact same issue as SusaN55 and your suggestion worked. I logged into the online Nintendo store, then restarted the switch. When I loaded Animal Crossing it had updated to Ver. 1.6.0a. Thank you so much! I hope this works for others as well.
 
Had the exact same problem when I tuned on my game today. It acted like it was a normal day. No turkey. No Isabelle announcement even though the villagers had been talking abut Turkey day all week. I had the winter update downloaded and my time and date was correct. I turned the game off and tried to look up the problem online with no luck. When I turned the game on again, suddenly turkey day was in full swing. No clue what happened.

yes, If your resident services is still a tent, then you could time travel forwards until it upgrades and then go back to today and complete the event. If you don't want to time travel then you'll have to wait until next year.
 
Not getting Turkey Day update either.
Version 1.6.0 is updated on Switch, we do have current Resident Services, and our time and date are correct.
We do not have version 1.6.0a showing in the upper right hand area of the loading screen, which appears to be why Turkey Day has not loaded.
Any suggestions on how to get the 1.6.0a update would be much appreciated.

@4zack did you try what udinafrog posted above?
 
My suggestion is to restart the game and go to your wi-fi Hotspot. Even if you have the download, I think the game needs some sort of internet trigger to start the event.
 
I can confirm, me and my GF started playing couple minutes after 5AM (we live in UK), consoles had internet access as always and without any noticeable information 1.6.0 a appeared on the top right corner, so update somehow meant to be activated and in my opinion, it has been done online without informing us about this.
We haven't restarted or switched off consoles for quite long time period.
