No snowballs anywhere

Omg, what am I doing wrong? I searched everywhere and carefully too. I’ve even cleared wide areas for the snowballs to appear. Help! Any insights?

Did you try restarting the game after making room for them? This was my concern previously.

How much room do you actually need?

I had a similar problem in Southern Hemisphere winter when I found out the hard way that snowballs only spawn on large grass areas. I don’t know how many blocks you need exactly, but it would be at least 5 x 5 I dare say.
