No shells are spawning at all?

I’ve time travelled hours forward as well as days and weeks forward now and my beach is completely blank of any shells at all. The message in the bottle appears but no shells. Has this happened to anybody else?

I don't TT, and I've hardly had any shells the last couple of days, either. I thought it was only me, but now I'm wondering.

I saw over 20 stars last night and received none this morning and my beach just had a couple shells. This never happened before. My beach would be loaded with stars and shells. I don't tt.

I have shells on my beach right now but only because I rarely pick them up. I have a meteor shower/shooting stars happening on my island tonight so I will be picking them all up...hopefully the star fragments and shells respawn tomorrow!

Ive found that if I have shells laying out (I keep them next to nooks so when I need to sell 10 for miles, I have them), that shells rarely spawn.
If you have any laying out, pick them up.

But yes, I have noticed a decrease in shells lately, too.
