No Shaved Ice Lamp DLC?

After reading that North America was receiving the Shaved Ice Lamp DLC via a letter through Isabelle, I was hoping to get it. However, on that day it was announced, I had no mail whatsoever from her (nor did Pete show up). I have opted into SpotPass on the game since I started, and I have a perfectly fine Internet connection. What did I do wrong, and am I still able to get the letter?

Sorry if I'm a bother, or if this is in the wrong section. I assumed this would be the place to post my question since I've been searching around everywhere for an answer. D:

UPDATE: I've finally received the letter by turning off and back on my Wi-Fi switch, so anyone else having trouble with this should try this method out!

That's another thing I was thinking. Maybe I need to come back at 5:00 PM and see if he'll be there to hand the letter to me then?

What i had noticed what she was asking something about Animal Crossing Plaza in the letter. i don't know if i had received it since I did download it for my Wii U, but I don't think that might be the case.

I didn't get it the morning everyone else did; but I got it that night at the 5pm delivery. not sure why you wouldn't be getting it by now though. have you tried doing a game update? that helps some people with the spotpass houses. there's an idea -- are you getting the spotpass houses?

I tried a game update, but it said I'd need a system update first; I haven't checked if I needed one yet, maybe I do?

I also just got my first house in the Showcase, it's Kate from Lizards!. I haven't got the latest one yet. I think the one I got might be a few weeks old. D:

EDIT: Okay, I just got a system update done, and I also got update data for the game. I'm going to check and see if there's any changes, and I'll play again at around 5 PM to see if I get the Shaved Ice Lamp. Thanks for all the help!

I have a perfectly fine Internet connection from my router, I don't see why they'd make you go somewhere else for a DLC letter.

I hadn't played the game for about 5 days until today and when I got on Pete was standing at my door and gave me the letter from Isabelle with the lamp in it. I don't do much tt'ing(at most a day or so but usually just a few hours). The letter did talk about the animal crossing plaza for the wii u but I don't have a wii u so I don't know what it is or why we got the lamp because of it, I'm glad though. Is it orderable? If so I can get one for you. I must've been having a good day in game cause I also found a lucky clover(my first in NL) and I had a new person in my HHA(Steph from I forget where) and from her house I got 2 other JP dlc items, cherry blossom clock(which I have been wanting) and the sunrise lamp.

I got mine yesterday, so I think maybe they're just sending them out a little at a time? I had to have my WiFi switch on and go into sleep mode for awhile to get it though (there was a blue dot on the AC icon when it came through, then I just logged in and Pete was standing outside my house.)
