No "Save Mail" option for my Mayor

My Mayor (Rose in Posydale) doesn't get the option to "save" mail at the post office.

My other 3 characters do have that option.

Do I need to do something to turn this on?
Did I do something to turn it off without realizing it?

anything but time capsules since they go into your mail slot
uh do you have any room left in your mail thing?? ah im not sure why you cant save mail. maybe a bug?

I must have had my gate open. I know I had it open earlier for a BF to come sell her perfect peaches. I bet I didn't close it.

I made sure it was closed, went to the post office and the option is there.
