No Pings

Ok, so there's currently a rumor going around my town that Claudia is thinking of moving. However, no matter how many times I walk past her, she doesn't ping me! This happened as well with Sprinkles before she moved, but I only introduced myself and I didn't care. But now Claudia isn't pinging me..? I don't want her to leave.. Any ideas?

(Hmm, maybe it could be because it's Weed Day?)

save and quit.. when you go back into the game, find her and she should ping

Did you talk to those villagers recently? If not, it'll force villagers to go into "silent treatment" where they won't ping you because you didn't talk to them for several days.

If that is not the case, I usually find this method to work the best. Save and quit your town, then start up your town, and go to a villager who is thinking of moving, they almost always ping you right away.

... unless it's weeding day for you, i don't know if villagers ping on weeding day.

^ Same here, it may be because of that but just try the save and quit method just to make sure!~ :3

I've heard similar stories today, and probably through tomorrow as well for Europe players, but if you have Weeding Day, it's like any other event day. Villager will not ping.

That's what all stories report. Some others have also rumors of a villager who wants to move, but no one receives pings unless they TT past Weeding Day.

Yup, the villagers usually doesn't ping you during an event.

Yes, villagers cannot ping during an event. I believe it ends at 7pm? Your villager will be able to ping after this time. c:

I'm in a similar situation with Lolly wanting to move today...can't get a ping b/c of Weeding Day. Hope everything works out with Claudia!

I heard that weeding day ends at 8pm, so try TT to 8pm? if not you might risk TT to tomorrow

That is one thing that I do really hate about the events ((aside from doing mayor stuff like building PWPs)) that they don't ping you on stuff. =/
Makes me nervous if there is a rumor going around and it's a villager I like.
Luckily, I've never had any surprise boxes situations. This time around, though, Mac is in boxes the day of the event so no one will want to be moving for a few more days anyways.
