No move out pings for 10+ days

I'm currently trying to cycle out a villager. My ninth villager moved in and I have time travelled day by day for over ten days since... yet no requests to move have been made by a single villager.

I would say that I'm pretty aware of the ins and outs of cycling. I didn't think this is even possible. I've looked around for information but can't seem to find anything to explain this. Have I done something wrong? Has anyone heard of this or experienced this?

are you going day by day and running around to get someone to ask you to leave, or are you going day by day to get Isabel to inform you of someones last day in the town? in my cycle town, i go day by day to start my cycle ( because i don't care who leaves, i would never go day by day in my main town) once someone is in boxes you start the 1 year 5 days back method and bam cycle started. but if you're running around every day trying to get someone to ping with no luck, id suggest buying a wet suit and trying to "idle in the ocean and get stung by 200 jelly fish" method. haha it's a pain but i've found sometimes idling or even running around planting flowers and stuff for 10 / 15 minutes heightens the chance of my villagers pinging. ( although it could be for anything, not just moving away.)

It's a cycle town so I'm doing it day by day since getting the first ninth villager, running around checking to see who'll ping first. And I say hello to each of them to be sure they can ping me. But there's been no pings and not a single move out in general since starting the town.
But thanks, I'll try to do as you suggested with the wetsuit. I never thought of doing that beyond trying to get pwps.

This has happened to me a few times. It usually results in me losing someone....

if it's just your cycle town, you can continue going about the day by day process, you don't even need to talk to them, just log in, if isabel doesn't mention someone leaving, log back out and rinse and repeat until she goes "oh wait a minute, so and so's last day is tomorrow : (" and then start your cycle from there.

i just recently re-made my cycle town and it took me quite a while to get someone into boxes for the first time using the day by day method, but it'll work. just keep trying.

for my old cycle town i'd tt up every 2 days and I'd choose 1 low tier villiger and talk to them until they either tell me someone's moving or they ask me to go away. When you run around and waiting for someone to ping you then you have to get everyone outside, and not on mainstreet, and you have to talk to them since x amount of days, if its been too long since you've talked to them they will not ping you.

I thought I had done something wrong to prevent villagers from leaving. But from what I'm hearing, seems not. It's just the first time this has happened to me when starting a cycling town.

I'm going to just keep going day by day until (hopefully) someone leaves and start the cycle from there.

If you just created your town, have you finished getting the permit? You'll have to get that before anyone moves out.

that's true, you need to get the town permit before anyone will move out.

Yes, I thought of that too. I got the permit before the ninth villager moved in. But after noone was moving out for a while, I even went to the mayor seat to listen to Isabelle's explanations to see that was necessary too.

20+ days and no move outs. This is getting pretty weird. I'm not cheating or hacking btw, so there's nothing like that going on that could cause this. Hm. Guess I'll keep going...? haha...

Oh wow... I actually haven't! I know exactly what you're talking about though. I never thought that'd be part of the criteria I have to meet for move outs but I have a creeping suspicion now... Thank you, I will do that.

yeah thats an good point, maybe you need to finish all the "how too's " and then it'll let to start all that nonsense.
but if you went around talking to villagers they should have mentioned all that by now..

Well I had "spoken" to all the villagers. But only to say hello so that they would be able to ping me in the near future should they want to. If you ignore them for over a week, they won't ping.
But I did all the tutorial talk and the cycling is back on track! Got the first move out : )
