No love for Cyd?

i think i noticed how no one talks about him! i think cyd is cool! why do you guys think he isnt as popular as the new villagers?

I think Cyd is pretty cool, but he definitely looks like he's about to pull a fast one on you. Plus I feel like elephants in general aren't the most desirable species in AC (except Tia).

Yeah I noticed that too I think he's really cool but I think him not being one of the most desired species kinda made it hard for Cyd to get any following from AC fans.

I like Cyd's color and overall design but there are too many awesome cranky villagers especially wolves that I'd probably get before I even think about him.

I personally think he looks awesome. I don't really consider his vibe shady, just edgy. In my opinion, his character design is something I would expect from a cranky villager who is meant to be rough around the edges. He just happens to not have the same appeal that most of the cute or popular villagers typically have, which gets him horribly overshadowed by the other new animals. But I like Cyd and I think he is very underrated. I wish he would get some more love.

I actually really like Cyd! He's not my favorite of the bunch of anything because he's not necessarily my aesthetic but I mean, he's a punk-themed villager with a cool color scheme, his Japanese name is Punks, he says rockin', he has a skull-themed house, he has a mohawk and wears a dragon jacket, he's the first cranky elephant... he's awesome and I doubt I'd pass him up if I saw him on an island. I think he's one of the coolest crankies now and people would probably die for a villager that's literally just him but a wolf (even though that'd be the 84736935th cranky wolf!) but he's overshadowed at least in part because he's an elephant, and they're ridiculously underrated as a species even though basically every single one of them is adorable just not very popular

Yep, I love it! I think he might grow on people a little if it was more known that he has a skull house and a cute mohawk, because I'm sure at least some people here like that sort of punk aesthetic, but sadly not many people have him or talk about him.

Ooh having Cyd and Muffy together on an island could be really cute! You might try resetting until you get her if you have that kind of patience, since you'll always start with an uchi as one of your 2 villagers.

seeing as i resettled many many times for dom and peaches i could do it again! the problem would be no one has cyd ;; i’ve seen everyone new villager sold and encountered all the new villagers on NMT island except for him??

Oh man that's really strange D: Do you know about the campsite method? Idk how open you would be to tting for it/kicking out your only cranky but that could also be an option if you can't find him any other way! Too bad you can't start with a cranky and there's no phase where the island is locked to only them like your first lazy/normal/peppy.

ill start up a new island on my lite when i’ve finished my main island and keep an eye out for my shady buddy cyd lmao
