I haven't seen a Nintendogs thread, so I decided to make one! I just got Nintendogs + Cats today, and I've played the originals for a long time. Feel free to discuss and share pictures!

This is for all the Nintendogs games (DS versions and 3DS versions).

I used to have the original with a Chihuahua, I named her Rosie and we had much fun. But then I sold the game along with my DS when I wasn't playing anymore.

I had the original. I had a labrador named Gus, a German Shepherd named Lucky and a poodle called Prince.
I remember I won all the agility contests with Lucky, and I won all the obedience trails with Prince, but Gus was my favourite because he was a virtual version of my dad's dog, who died a few years ago ;-;

This is what I can think of:

~ Instead of the agility competitions, there's races
~ Improved graphics
~ More accessories for dogs/cats
~ Features using 3DS front camera (if you move your face closer to the screen, the dog will lick your face)
~ You can go to a dog cafe where your dog can play with dogs/cats there and eat cakes designed for dogs
~ It's easier to teach your dogs tricks
~ You don't need to pre-determine a walking route when you take your dog on a walk, you walk wherever you please within the area for an indefinite amount of time
~ You can add furniture to the room

I have enough money on my system to order another digital game, I'm thinking about buying this one (also because I love cats).

I need to buy an extra microsd card first, I think I will go for this one. I like these no pressure games.

You start the game with a dog, then you can buy a cat afterwards (which isn't too hard to buy as long as you're doing competitions and selling unwanted stuff for money).

Yeah now I`m looking forward to it, I`ll see if I have time tomorrow before work to buy the micro SD card, then I can download it when I get home. Must be nice to see them play together.

I don't have the new version, but I do have the old Dachshund and Friends version for the DS. I remember my old days of tearing up the Agility Trial with Miniature Pinschers.

The cats are really cute! I wish you could do more stuff with them though :c There are no competitions for the cats...
The dogs are so cute too. I haven't checked on mine in a while, woops.

The cats are a wonderful addition. Black cats also are awesome. For some reason folklore saying they bring bad luck, only make them cuter for me. They have to overcome so much. I`m first downloading Bravely Default now, after that I`ll be downloading Golden Retriever and friends. Really looking forward to playing it again (referring to original DS game).
