The free theme might not be available always as they mentioned "while stock lasts"

I'm not sure if you knew already but it seems items are the only things that are exclusive to each version, you'd be able to unlock other breeds as you play. Though since I don't have the game, I can't make sure. I also don't know which one to get lol they're all really cute ;_;

I can confirm that you can unlock all of the breeds regardless of version, either through Streetpass or playing with your pets for a certain period of time! Says so on the official website here, third question down.
I think I might go with the Toy Poodle version. I'm judging by the free theme I would get now since we can eventually get all the breeds.

The game is awesome so far! I'm really enjoying it :3
For my first dog I chose a White Female Dashund and I named her Angel. She listens really well and she already knows Sit Down, Left paw and right paw. I was going to enter her in a frisbee contest but I was practicing with her and she's terrible at catching frisbees lol

I got the game around the launch period, which happened during early 2011. It wasn't worth 39,99$ CAD because the content was very lackluster and there isn't much improvement to the original nintendogs. Therefore, I grew bored of it too quickly than I should. Even if it's 15,99$ now, I still feel like it's a tad expensive. There are better games you could possibly spend your hard-earned cash anyway.

I think it's a good value for $16. It's the closest I'll ever get to owning a dog so hey I'm not complaining lol.

Exactly. I'm allergic to dogs, cats, bunnies etc. My favorite animals are cats and I love dogs. I'm really enjoying the game. I love white dashunds. :3 They are so pretty.

I know I can unlock all the breeds, for some reason I feel like having all versions lol
Anyways, on Toy Poodle Version I got a Male Bull Terrier named Smoky, and a Female Calico Cat named Dapple. :3 That was all in 30 minutes lol.
