Nintendo sucks for a variety of reasons, mostly caused by themselves. For the most part, Nintendo is all happy with sitting on their asses making money, one of the many reasons Nintendo used lower tech in the Wii. Many times it seems that the executives at Nintendo live in their own little fantasy world, where no one has any complaints against them. When there is a problem, such as gamers needing a hard drive, they ignore it. This would normally cause a riot, but Nintendo has taken measures to prevent that. Whenever there might be trouble in Nintendoland, Nintendo executives dangle a shiny new peripheral like a carrot on a fishing pole, causing the dopey fanboys to drool in amazement as they are being led to online forums defending the stupid new toy.
