I tried earlier today to download the "Red Ogre Mask" at McDonalds (A Nintendo Zone Location), but all I got was the message telling me I had already gotten the item, when I know I have not.

Do you know what's wrong?

I've tried a lot of different places to get the DLC, but I couldn't get it either. :\

The other night I asked my brother to take my 3ds with him when he was picking up McDonalds.

When he got back, I noticed that little green light was lit up and though, "yay!" It turned out I'd gotten a bunch of streetpasses. were four people who I'd streetpassed who had also been at that same restaurant. xD None of us got that rad DLC. D:

If anything try Home Depot if you guys have one where you live. Someone on here mentioned they have a Nintendo zone access. Best buy is good too, but I didn't have any luck with them or McDonald's. If all else fails you could try to change your home wifi to attwifi and get it.

@ Paranoid - the nintendo zone items don't work that way. You have to open up the game when you are at a nintendo zone and go to the post office to ask for a present and they will search for it and give you a gift if you're able to connect.

Though the streetpasses are always nice on their own... I am forever trying to bribe people to take my 3ds's with them when they go to best buy or home depot...

@ Fuzzynumber9: Oh I see. .o. I should try again then. Thanks for letting me know. ^ ^

Hope you can get some streetpasses soon. .u.

I've been to all the suggested Nintendo Zones listed. Most say they don't do it anymore. For a very large city to not have it seems pointless. After driving for miles I started calling and most never heard of it. All of my area Best Buys do not have the kiosk or connection to get it.

I was still able to get the large amount of Streetpasses from it so it is still a Nintendo Zone location.

I don't know if streetpasses have anything to do with nintendo zone, or if it was just a large amount of people trying to access the zone with their ds so you streetpassed them.

nintendo zone is what supports the streetpass relay point. So places that have the one should still have the other, the employees (unless they're gamers) tend to not know about it at all.
I get a lot of funny looks strolling through the home depot next to my work, looking at the flowers, not buying any and walking back out just to get streetpass hits, but I am rarely disappointed. I just haven't gotten up the nerve to go in and open up to try to download the dlc... Conveniently I also have a bestbuy in my work shopping center, though their wifi isn't as quick to hit my systems as home depot's is.
I have always had issues with mcdonalds, I can pick up streetpasses from them if I'm actually inside the building, but have never been able to get a download from them. My preferred one is sitting down at a bench or table inside barnes and noble. Though I haven't in a while, maybe that's where I'll try for my mask.

I have been having the same problem. I usually can download the DLC from my mcdonalds but this one I was not able to. It said I had already gotten it :/ Don't know what the problem is but i'm still getting the street passes.

I use to be able to get NZ DLC from my local McDonalds, but I haven't been able to for some time now. I can get streetpases from them (relay) but not DLC. My Best Buy is even worse (can't even get streetpasses there). I would change my home wifi to Bestbuy last year and get the NZ DLC, but it hasn't worked for me this year. I finally tried my local Home Depot and YAY!!! Streetpasses and the NZ DLC and I can even do it from my car out in the parking lot (I just try to park as close as possible).
Good Luck Everyone.

Back when Nintendo had their own map of where NZ were, Home Depot was there, but now Nintendo just sends you to the maps of AT&T or McDonalds and so on (but not all AT&T and McDonalds are Nintendo Zones).

SUCCESS!!

I went out today to try to find a Nintendo Zone. I checked McDonald's and Best Buy, but neither worked. I got the "you already have the item" message at the post office. I then checked the Nintendo website here (scroll down to find locations) and clicked on the link for ATT-WIFI locations. It listed Barnes and Noble, so I tried going there. And it worked! Now, my McDonald's is also listed there, and it didn't work, so I would say keep trying the ATT locations listed.

When I was at BestBuy I talked to the guy at the Geek Squad desk. He didn't know for sure, but he thought they had turned off their Nintendo Zone connection at some point. He tried for awhile to connect me to it, but it didn't work for him, either.

I hope everyone is able to find a place to get the DLC. It's so frustrating to not be able to find one. :(

Is this true? Please list your source because I've never seen Home Depot listed as a Nintendo Zone anywhere.

Why would I need to list my source? I never said I tried the Nintendo zone there... I just said someone on here a while ago posted that they went to Home Depot and it seemed to work, so why not try it if you have one. It was just a suggestion. I'm pretty sure any big chain store or whatever place that you can get free wifi will probably have a Nintendo zone access depending on your region. Plus just go to the official site and enter in your zip or address and see where there are places. It's much easier that way to know for sure.

I was just wondering if it was accurate information; please don't be offended. I got a bunch of hits at Best Buy today:

Nintendo Zone

Lol, I wasnt. Sorry if it sounded that way. I was just wondering why I would need to. But if anything here: http://nintendo.wikia.com/wiki/Nintendo_Zone
Home Depot is listed as one and I have a Lowes that I get hits from for streetpass so maybe since the stores are similar people would be able to get the dlc there? I mean I get a bunch of hits with Best Buy too, but I still didn't get the mask there. The employees didn't know anything about it either so, ehh? Those didn't work for me though, which is why I suggested changing your wifi name if you know how.

My partner's worked at Home Depot for like, three years now? Ish?? (I'd ask for the exact number but he's already depressed enough about Home Depot as it is, haha) and he had no idea whatsoever that Nintendo Zones are even a thing. The employees aren't told about them at all at his store, and probably many many others, probably because they either have more important things to worry about - like managing inventory and the store itself - or they just flat out don't care, lol. I suspect it's the latter.

I've never tried to download DLC while I was out and about; I don't bring my DS with me when I go places most of the time and even if I do I tend not to spring it open (because I don't want to be rude to whoever I'm out with) but I'm gonna see if I can get to Home Depot and test that one out or at least poke at some of the other employees there and get some answers. I doubt I'll come away with anything useful, though.

It's also important to note that I've never streetpassed a single soul due to my playing habits, and the fact that I live on a block full of outrageously old people (I'm talking actual elderly, so don't any older members go getting upset at me now :P) so I dunno how that figures into the equation. I'm still learning about how this thing works.
