Nintendo Wii U - Sonic Lost World Zelda Zone and Yoshi Zone DLC Question

I know this sounds a little bit silly, but I just feel I need to ask this question.

I have downloaded the Zelda Zone and Yoshi Zone DLC on my Nintendo Wii U.

My question about the DLC, would anything happen to the DLC on my Nintendo Wii U if I did not redeem it in-game and the DLC disappeared from the Nintendo eShop anytime in the future?

If you are unsure, I can reword it.

Pretty sure that's a question only Sega or Nintendo can answer, I don't think I've read any answer to that question.
