Nintendo Thanksgiving Gift- what did you get?

I have the Japanese version and got another Turkey this year for thanksgiving. Did you all with the NA or EU version get anything similar?

i thought the type of DLC items you get depends on where you are located?

if you have the Japanese version (game cartridge & 3DS) but are located in NA, you still only get the NA DLC items.. is this correct?

or are you talking about the DLC items that are general for each region?

becoz i'm thinking about the DLC items that you need to connect to certain Nintendo Zone WIFI (BestBuy, McDonalds, etc) spots to receive...

The Turkey came in the mail. (Not from the post office). Just like the gifts from Mom. And the gifts you get both from the post office and in the mail depend on the system- not the physical location. I cannot go to best buy and get the NA spotpass items with my Japanese 3ds.

ooh. but if that's the case then, how do you get the Japanese spotpass items like the 7-11 things, if you are in NA and own the Japanese system and game?

does that mean you need to actually be in one of the 7-11 stores in Japan?

The pile of leaves came too early I think, and didn't mention the Harvest Festival. Just fall in general. Any EU players remember the message with the tam-o-shanter?

DLC items that you get depend on the country setting that you set in your DS. So what you have to do is just to set your country as Japan in 3ds settings so you can still get Japan DLC even if you are actually live in NA if you have cartridge/3DS from Japan region. I live in SE Asia but I just choose USA as my country so I can still get NA DLC item (my real country is not even listed anyway lmao).

oh.. if it just depends on country setting then are you saying it doesn't matter which game cartridge i have?

or are you saying the following ALL must be true to have Japanese DLC no matter where you live in the world:
- JP 3DS LL console
- JP ACNL game cartridge
- JP country set

(i just checked my NA 3DS XL... there is no Japan option in the Region settings.. -_-)
