I'll get it if they use the D-Pad to control Maxwell.
I don't know why people make such a big deal about Nintendo DS game using touch screen controls. If you don't like touch screen controls, then why get a DS in the first place? >_>
Then why put a D-pad in?

Do you can use both touch screen and button controls. But controlling Maxwell with the D-pad while controlling everything else with the stylus is just too weird. But I don't care if they give the option to control Maxwell with the D-pad in Scribblenauts 2, as long as they also give you the option the play the original way.

I love the game, and I'm still finding new things, like George Washington and Abraham Lincoln, but there was a considerable amount of awkward commands and glitching, especially on the level editor. But when you actually make a level, it feels so good even if it's trash.

It's not that weird. Plenty of games have that type of control.

I just played Scribblenauts a bit today, and I can see that it might actually be a little better to be able to control Maxwell with the D-pad, but then you have a big problem; how do you move the camera, then? The D-pad is used to control the camera's view.

Well, you got your wish, anyway...
- Developed by 5TH Cell
- DS Only
- D-pad controls for Maxwell
- significantly improved stylus controls
- camera is now fixed.
- Big updates to physics
- Levels are revamped and completely improved
- levels are deeper in content.
- The 10,000 words refers to adjectives
- some new words

Little arrows on the top, bottom, and sides of the screen?

When I read this article, I was super excited! Like most people said here, the first one got me excited but disappointed me a bit since most things you typed in didn't do much. With adjectives and more words, I'm definately getting this :D

I'd think that would really get in the way sometimes, and it'd be annoying seeing arrows on the screen at all times.

They could be invisible. :P

(But then there's the fact that it would take away part of the screen)

Or you could just drag and drop it, and you also have the A,B,X, and Y buttons.

Using the A, B, X, and Y buttons for a game that primarily uses the stylus would be a terrible idea, unless they would have the same function as the D-pad, for left handed people. You'd have to put down your stylus to use the A, B, X, and Y. =p

I just read the article, it is stylus controlled for camera if you use D-Pad Maxwell controls.

This has motivated me to beat Scribblenauts.

Now that I've been playing Scribblenauts more, I understand why people want D-pad controls for Maxwell... >_>

Yeah.

*Makes very delicate pile of items for destruction of x*
*Camera centers itself on Maxwell during placing something, then moves Maxwell into the pile*
*Pile falls*
FFFFFUUUUUUUUUUU-
