While Operation Rainfall continues to not work, Zelda producer Eiji Aonuma says that if we make enough noise for it, Majora's Mask 3DS could very well happen. Asked about the possibility of it by Nintendo Power, Mr. Aonuma says this:

After playing Ocarina of Time 3D, the next question that comes to mind is: Will we get a Majora?s Mask remake next?

Would you like to play such a remake?

Well, Yes!

It?s been 13 years since Ocarina of Time was originally released, and one of the big things that we made this remake possible was that there was an outpour of emotions from people who said they would like to see this game done. We said we could do it in 3D, so we did. I think certainly if there was a similar output of emotion and clamor from fans for a remake of Majora?s Mask, it wouldn?t be an utter impossibility.

Thinking on it now, having a handheld Majora?s Mask where you could kind of just set things down on your own time ? close it, set it aside and come back to it later ? might be a game play element some fans will actually take to and might really appreciate. Especially considering how you really had to rush through the original game, in a sense.

of course they will eventually release it, they won't just leave the series unfinished. also to be honest I like majoras mask more than Ocarina and I personally would LOVE to have majora on 3ds

if they do it, please don't ****ing do an animal crossing-style clock (real time) instead of an in-game clock (like GTA, and others)

please please please don't ****ing do it. you'd have to stay up to like midnight every three days.

yeah that would suck, but I doubt they would make a drastic change like that.

I prefer a NEW zelda DS game, probably a Toon Link one considering they liked to use him for DS games :P

Also, there is a gamecube game, Zelda Collectors or something that has MM, OOT, and other past Zelda games in it :P

-raises noise- And yeah to make it a real time clock... That's just stupid to even think they would. That would drastically change the game for the worse... I don't even know how you came to that idea.

If they do a Toon Link game, I'd like it better on a console or something. The DS versions just haven't... I dunno... held up to Wind Waker. They're let-downs compared to it.

Well hopefully Nintendo has a better idea in mind this time. With the 3DS being on par with at least the 64, they're in for a challenge.

Well the graphics are like Wii quality so they could make a game with twilight princess graphics which would be pretty cool, just not for majora...

Good, another Zelda game that I have never played which I will look forward to

I personally wish they'd have an option to take out the clock, I never enjoyed the original game because of that. :(

It's what made the game, though. It would make no sense otherwise. It would be a "timed game" without the element of time. All you had to do was play the song of inverted time to slow the clock down in a temple. It made the game easier.

They should have released Oot and MM on the same cart for 3DS...

OoT + MM on separate carts = more $$$

i'm pretty sure MM would sell too, so ninty doesn't have a reason not to release it

ANYHOO

never played MM, looking forward to this
