I'm going to get a lot of hate for this, but I wanted to risk it and make this thread anyways. I think most games they made this year were either amazing or horrible. I'll give my opinions on a few and I know I'm missing a lot.

3DS:
Animal Crossing: New Leaf: It's first because it's the Bell Tree. It's why I joined this site. I'm lazy because I'm going to have to do a lot of these, so I'll just end it there. Pass!

Pokemon X/Y: I hated these games. The new Pokemon look horrible, and trust me, I liked some of the UNOVA Pokemon, so that's saying something. It's nice that it's 3D now, but I think we could all agree that should've happened in Black and White. Nothing really stood out to me. Also, what's the big deal about the Pokemon Bank thing? Is storing your Pokemon online THAT important? Fail.

Fire Emblem: Awakening: I started this game on Christmas and beat it on New Years. Truly amazing. Now I need to go back and beat Sacred Stones. :D Pass!

The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds: Whenever I hear about this game, I usually respond with meh. It was an OK Zelda game, but having all of the items available at the beginning killed it for me. You could do everything from the beginning, and there didn't feel like there was anything to work up to. OK.

Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon: This one is a hard choice. It's fun, but short and easy. Online was a blast, and was an improvement of the original, so Pass!

Wii U:
Super Mario 3D World: I didn't like this game at E3, but when I got it, it was pretty fun! Not as fun as the Galaxy games, but it's still fine overall. Except for taking SEVEN HOURS TO BEAT THE LAST LEVEL!!!!!! Pass!

Pikmin 3: I love the Pikmin games, but this one was just way too short and easy. I know they did this because since here hasn't been a new one in 9 years, they wanted to open up to beginners, but they STILL should've added more to it. OK.

The Legend of Zelda; The Wind Waker HD: I'm biased because I loved the original and this one was even better! Pass!

Wii Party U: I'm leaving this one blank because I got this game at Christmas and I haven't had 2 other people over yet so I could play everything in it, but it looks fun.

New Super Luigi U: I think that the levels are harder than in the original, but the star coins are easier to balance it out. It was still fine. OK.

Pokemon Rumble U: The Pokemon-Skylander mix. I still liked it but it was short and it was annoying not knowing what Pokemon you would get when you bought the figures. Also, wasn't there supposed to be a Series 2 of the figures? OK.

OK, start the Pokemon hate.

I agree on pokemon actually, lol. For some reason I bought it and I haven`t touched it since the first time I played it. I came in some big city and just thought; meh.... Lets pop in Animal Crossing again. :D

I also agree on pikmin! I loved the first entry, it was incredibly challenging and smartly designed. However, it felt to short afterwards, I wanted more. Pikmin 2 was also pretty good, but it felt like a compromise to ease in new gamers. It felt dumbed down, with the take as long as you want approach. This third part was supposed to blow my mind, but it didn`t. I miss the caves where time doesn`t tick further, so you can replace explore a vast cave. Its also indeed to short and the new rock pikmin are kinda cool, but in the end not that different from the purple ones. The game really should have had more environments, especially because they looked so good.

New Super Luigi feels like more of the same to me, but I agree with you, cause more of a good thing still isn`t a bad thing.

I disagree on Zelda a bit, I really think the new getting in the walls deal offered up great new gameplay and puzzles. I liked the ability to decide the order more or less myself. Freedom makes it more of an adventure to me. I did miss the buried bombs underneath grass! Overall though I loved it.

Standout for me are AC and Fire Emblem. Can`t believe how far they took the Fire Emblem gameplay and added in new features. The downloadable content kicks ass and I love the brainoverheating lunatic+ mode and the ability to add your team on other peoples maps. I love that they are still struggling to beat my team, gheghe. Besides that, they really put a lot of effort in the story, characters and level design.

AC speaks for itself, it was my first AC game and where I thought I find it to childish, I completely fell in love with it. I love how it puts all the strings in your hand. Makes it feel like a game and not like many other games available, like work. (move from A to B, Move back to A and continue to C, blablabla).

In short, I like your list. :P

So the one Zelda game to really change how the series could continue is "okay"?

My only problem with X/Y is that it seems incomplete. Yes, Pokemon Bank is important.

How does it change the series?

Considering how the dungeons have essentially been linear for the entire series and now they introduce a whole new way to play the game, you'd think it's fairly obvious how it changed the series and how the future of it will be affected.

I never thought that they were linear in the first place. A good example is the Temple of Droplets from the Minish Cap, my favorite 2D Zelda.

Missing what I said.

In Minish Cap, you had to go to Deepwood Shrine, Cave of Flames, Fortress of Winds, Temple of Droplets, Palace of the Winds, and Dark Hyrule Castle.

In Ocarina of Time, you had to go to Great Deku Tree, Dodongo's Cavern, Inside Jabu Jabu, Forest, Fire, Water, Shadow, and Spirit temples, then Hyrule Castle.

The order of the dungeons in Link Between Worlds isn't linear. That's why it's a gamechanger.

Oh yeah. XD I thought you meant the dungeons themselves. That brings me back to my main point. For me, it always felt like getting the item in the dungeon was what felt rewarding, sometimes more than the boss! Taking that out and having them all available from the start is what made me sad. If they had the items in the dungeons but didn't make it linear, like the adult part of OoT, THEN I would like it more. I really don't care about linearity anyways.

I was okay with getting items in the beginning and doing the dungeons in any order I wanted. But I would prefer things to go back to being linear and having the items found in dungeons. It just feels better that way.

Pokemon was good but I find myself playing less and less of the post game with each new installment. It's getting boring.

And I'm done with animal crossing and I haven't played any of the other games.

Also btw, fun fact, it's possible to do the spirit temple before shadow, though I think you do need the hover boots. I did it once but there was no boss music when I fought Twinrova, which was sad.

Well, it's possible to do Forest Water Spirit Shadow Fire, but I mean, that wasn't intended, I think.

In Wind Waker HD, I am a procrastinator and can't get myself to complete the Earth Temple. There are Re-Deads and Floormasters too. I do agree that it was much better.

For Pokemon XY, I agree with your points. It just wasn't as good but it was enjoyable. Never understood the hype with IVs.

How dare you criticise Pikmin 3! *get's a whole mob of gaurds to point weapons at you*

Just kidding, I just disagree.

The first one was okay and had the right amount of difficulty but it was way too short in my opinion. The second was way too long, and the difficulty was a little fake and even unfair at times. This game is basically the balance between the two. When the game ended, I was bummed to see it end. However, from seeing how Pikmin 2 was too long and the difficulty started to become fake and cheap as I progressed through that game, I really appreciated that the game didn't go on any longer.

The reason why I haven't beaten OOT3D is because of the Water Temple. Even the color coding in 3D Remake didn't help.

I found Rune Factory four at GameStop the other day and am enjoying it.
I think Pokemon X/Y is ok, but it's obvious Nintendo is running out of ideas.

They need to step it up with Pokemon. I really enjoyed the new titles but it's clear they need to re-think it. Maybe they could make two games where 1 is where you are a bad guy, and the other is where you are a good guy? I always thought that would be fun.

Oh RF4 is beyond amazing, best RPG so far. I like the focus on the town and dungeons. You'll probably hate Doug as soon as the story gets interesting.

I agree on 1, and 2 was just bearable enough that I still found it fun. (Except for that stupid Submerged Castle. I hate that place.) I really like lengthy games, so that's probably why 2 was my favorite. Considering I 100%ed 2, I found 3 way too easy as half of the fruit was really obvious. The map showed you where it was, you go to it, and it's there! No tricks or traps, it's just there. The other half was still really easy to find. Overall, 60 dollars for an easy 10 hour game: not worth it. 20 dollars for a challenging 80 hour game: worth it.

Redeads gave me nightmares as a kid. And now they're in HD. Yay.

Well, I 100% the story mode in Pikmin 2 too. I didn't like the traps in Pikmin 2, mostly because their placement was very cheap at times and even became unfair towards the end of the game.

Pikmin 1 showed you where all the ship parts are in an area when you get the Whimsical Radar, which you get in the second area, which is very early in the game. Also, the fruit in the areas are not just there all of the time. Although there is some fruit that you can just obtain, a lot of fruit is not easy to obtain at all. Some fruit are placed in areas where it might seem like there is no catch to obtaining it, but usually the path that the pikmin will take to carry it might have a hazard or enemy that can harm them. Enemies may sometimes be around a fruit too, and they usually aren't easy to defeat enemies either and there usually is not just one. Not only that, some fruits are inside of mini bosses that you have to defeat to obtain, and they aren't easy to defeat either. Speaking of bosses, they aren't that easy either, even when you find out/know how to beat them.
In addition, you can replay the story mode to try to do better than you did that last time you played. In fact, I got more hours in doing that.

Okay, enough of my opinions and such. Let's move on to some other things.

I believe the fruit are not so hidden because this game is based more on multi-tasking than just exploration. Not only that, the whole way the game came out to be was because Shigeru Miyamoto noticed that the 2 others were unbalanced. The first one was very strict (30 day time limit) and unforgiving because he "was a bit stubborn", which could put a lot of stress on a player and overwhelm them (it sure did so with me when I played it for the first time). With the second, he wanted to "get rid of as much stress as possible" However, as you can tell, he needed add difficulty somehow, and because of that, the game became a good game at the beginning but a complete hard and even sometimes unfair mess during the end. He wanted to create a more balanced Pikmin game to begin with. It's not just because the series went off the scene in so many years and he wanted to introduce the new generation to this game. It's also because he thought that the other 2 were not that user freindly to begin with and had things about them that certain audiences wouldn't like. The first one had great difficulty, but certain newcomers might not take it so kindly. The second one was very lenient, but veterans might now like this. This one has enough leniency for newcomers, but the game has enough difficulty for veterans.

Anyway, lets move on to you.

First off, 10 hours? Did you get all of the fruit or did you rush through the game? Also, did you check out the mission mode. That alone should add some replay value, especially since there is DLC out for the mission mode too. Do you have any extra controllers and people willing to play with you? Try Bingo Battle mode. There is tons of replay value there. Also, mission mode can be played with two players.

What do you have against Pokemon? You just think it looks bad and that an optional feature is stupid? Why not the actual gameplay and the story? Your review of it is kind of stupid.

1. All fruit, secret code numbers, and upgrades in 10 hours. It might have been something more like 12, but it didn't take very long.
2. Mission mode added about another 3 hours before it got boring. I got the stages 12-15 DLC, and is was OK, but it's not going to turn an OK game to a fantastic game.
3. My friends hate Bingo Battle because I always win. :D So that added about another hour.

It wasn't supposed to be a review. I didn't feel like writing absolutely everything out because I would have to do that for everyone. I said this in the first paragraph, I was just listing some opinions on the games, not giving full reviews.
