Nicknames

I had no idea that Ladybro was a nickname you could set. One of my villagers called me that and didn't ask anything about it, and it doesn't show up in colourful letters (like the other nicknames do). Weird!

I think the nicest one I have is cupcake. The others I find kind of corny, since they're the ones related to the initial letter in your name and those just seem boring to me.

Merengue just came running up to me saying she didn't want to call me "muffin" anymore, so she suggested "cupcake" instead. I'd rather her call me that for sure.

One of my jocks decided to call me "Cleats," I let him and it spread like wildfire. Suddenly *everyone* wanted to call me cleats. I mean, he does tell me that my calves are shaping up nicely, so I guess all my running around town is paying off... I'[m hoping that pretty soon my calves will rival Kevin Hart's.

I always pick the 'suggest another nickname' option, and then put in my player name. That way they "think" they are calling me a new nickname, but it's really still just... Dia. Lol. I suppose that is cheating the nickname system, but it works, and I don't want to be called anything else!

I think you misunderstood my post, I don't mind the "cupcake" nickname, I just dislike the other ones that are based on your initials (like Mega X, Dr X, etc.)

I was called "princess" by Eloise xD at one point when I still had my buddy Gaston in town he took up Bluebear's phrase peach and said at the end "princess, peach" I was thinking of Mario games at that point lol. But I thought princess was really cute^_^

If they give me the option I always just write the most random thing, otherwise if they have a name for me I just say yes

Overall I'm not a fan of nicknames. However, most of my villagers call me honeybun atm which I like. Except for Lobo, who calls me kid, and as long as he's the only villager that says it I'm cool with it - it fits the cranky personality.

Some villagers used to call me Sweet-T, which was fine, but I think it died out.

Yeah I let them call me whatever. One of my alt characters is called Super M. My mayor has several nicknames I used to tell them a nickname my best friend calls me but couldn't be bothered saying no and then telling them one so now I just have whatever they come up with~

In my second town Valyria, my main character is Daenerys, so I have my villagers call me "Khaleesi" which I think is pretty wicked.

I let my villagers use the nicknames unless they are something like "P" or just plain insane :-----D I think I'm called honeybun or cookie ATM but I like princess and P-girl too :-----)

I used to let my villagers give me nicknames but then there was this one time Julian wanted to call me Wonder-N or something so I was just like, uh, no, and put "Cou" and then all of a sudden everyone around just started asking me if they could call me Cou too, so yeah, I'm just Cou in my town now.

Yeah! Usually they're just like "S-something", "buddy" or "pal". Buut they're actually kinda cute and I prefer nicknames over just being called Saki c:

I like to use the nicknames they come up with for me unless they're really terrible, I remember Axel kept wanting to call me "dumbell" -_-

At the moment I'm "missy" (Bruce came up with that one), "princess" (Francine, I think) and "cookie" (Beau).

Speaking of my old villager Gaston; he pinged me and told me he came up with a really cool nickname to replace said cute "princess" that I had going, he mentioned "Bucko" which really doesn't sit well with me so made him call me K-Girl xD

It was great once I discovered you could suggest your on nickname but all the ones I wanted at the time were too long. So I decided to nickname myself my characters name (David). I like it

Thanks to Merengue, Kabuki has started calling me cupcake. Ahh~<3
