Nicknames

Do you allow villagers to give your characters nicknames? Can you change the nickname after?
Normally I don't, since most have been not great, but Buck just decided he wanted to call my mayor "muscles". I accepted because its hilarious.

What about yours?

I think it's nice with the nicknames.. Zucker got the idea to call me Captain today and when I went to the island I found the perfect hat as well.

I just sort of let my villagers call me whatever nicknames they come up with. It's really cute how enthusiastic they are about it.

Sometimes, when the nick's a good one. Deli recently came up with the nickname "boss", which I liked, so I let him use it.

The weirdest one I experienced was when Tom insisted on calling me "hun". And I let him.

I typically let them do whatever cause it makes them happy and doesn't bother me. The best one I've ever gotten was genius.

Maybe you already knew this, but you can change your nickname the next time a villager suggests one to you. When they ask you if you like the name they made up for you, you can say no and then they will ask you to come up with a nickname yourself.

I never let villages call me a nick name that they give me. I give them a nick name to call me (WonderK).

Yep, I always do this! My mayor is Courtney, so I get them to call me things like little c, baby c, queen c. I also ask some of them to call me princess, gorgeous, lol. I love the nicknames.

I wish you could request them yourself. Everyone calls me M-cat (like the medical test) and I hate it. They had better ones in Wild World, like Sparkles.

Chief prompted me to let him use a nickname and I didn't like it, so I jokingly told him to call me "my child" and now half my town is doing it.

Kid Cat started calling me L Boogie about 6 or 7 months ago, & even though he's long gone, the name has stuck. I won't let anyone change it, I just keep telling them to call me L Boogie...

Snake and Tangy call me "pookie" and Mira calls me "pal".
