In 2018, I'm going to try very hard not to tt in my main town, Cascades and possibly my side town Chapman.
I am also not going to impulse buy quite so much landscaping supplies, because I'm a fuzzy little hoarder and I need to use what I have before I buy more.
I'm thinking about not using any outside sources (aka tbf) in Chapman, to get things .
And I won't play quite so much as I have been, because an animal crossing minute is like 5 real minutes and it tends to absorb me.
Any of y'all have any resolutions for acnl?
So I'm going to be restarting so here's some of mine that I can hopefully stick with this time:
- No time travel. I always break this one but I'm really going to try to stick with it next year and not do it.
- Limit buying/trading with others. I have the same problem you do, I buy too much landscaping stuff then end up finishing my town too fast and get bored and want to reset. I also hoard way too much furniture and clothes I never use.
- Interact with my villagers more! I want to talk to them more, send them letters, do their tasks and have house meet-ups. I'm going to set a goal of getting a villager's pic before I let them move. That way I will have motivation to befriend them more and I won't have to worry about a new house moving in as often and messing up anything in town.
I intend to acquire the last few dream villagers I can fit into my towns so that I'm content with all of my residents. From there, I'll also be intending to finish out my fish, bug, and deep sea diving catalogues on all of my mayors and to pay off the bells for full expansion of all of the characters who haven't done so yet. I might attempt to make my towns look nicer using patterns, but there's no guarantee of that.
-Complete the fishing and sea diving list (I need to cheat and look up the page to see what times they are avalaible and which ones I need.
-Move out two villagers who are in the way of completing this cool themed part of my town. And then remove them via amiibo cards into a more village oriented spot where most other villagers are. So their houses will be plotted in line and look good on the map. I am kinda slow on this because I don't want to lose their friendship levels...
But I would be able to fix up that spot of the town tremendously.
-Put the final touches on some of my themed rooms (that go with a story that I am telling) and to fix up one of my mayor's rooms that was originally full of those Nintendo items you get from fortune cookies. I removed them because it was more like a museum/showcasing then a real room. I moved them to one of the museum second floor rooms for the time being.
The mayor room is going to be some kind of mix between a archaic library and study hall. Oh and to create a country/farm kitchen for one of my alts. I have all these kitchen geared pieces all littered near the train station, just haven't taken the time to pick them up with that alt yet. Or to even expand that part of the room.
i don't TT or do a lot of trading, mostly just bell injections, so my biggest resolutions is to just play them happily. i played every every every every day for months and it was easy some times and hard at others and i want to not force myself to play every single day, just as much as i want which will still be a lot
i also want to fully develop lots of houses and get nice rooms in all of them and fix up my museum exhibits
