She talks about her old town because she misses it. You haven't done much to make her excited about the new town. .-. Or that's what I'm thinking..
3 weeks is a long time. It only took my Eugene at least a week before he stopped talking about his old town.
The higher the relationship, the less she'll talk about the old town.

Just become good friends with the villager and they will talk less about it, I personally like it when they talk about their old towns and sing the town melody, the villagers I have gotten from other towns haven?t talked about it for a long time, I really miss it.
I don't think that this goes away with time. I've had Stitches for a few months and have gotten two of his pics; he still sings his old town tune and talks about his old mayor. I think it's sweet
i find it sweet too <3 i like how it makes the villagers seem more 'real' in a sense. like people moving from another city and talking about their old one.
Apollo still dreams about my friend's mule character labeling his feet. He's been in Dreamsie for weeks now.
I think it's adorable, really. Weird though; he and Hugh talk about her town, but Pango (who came from my other friend) doesn't talk at all about her old hometown. Maybe it's a personality thing.
I like it too. They make me remember good trades/giveaways and makes me thankfull for having them in my town. I think the only villager (from another town) that doesnt talk so mutch about her old place are Bunnie. She was fast to forget. "Information exeding brain capacity" as She use to say

I have a few villagers from other towns and I like it when they remember their old friends and sing the town tune. Especially when a cranky villager does it and wonders how the guys in his old town are doing without "yours truly". xD
Gabi also always sings the towntune of his old town. Like others I find it kinda sweet. He does it every week and I do have his picture and am on a high friendship level with him.
Fauna, Boone, and Zell are the only villagers in my town that I didn't pick up from someone else. None of my other villagers really speak of their old towns though. Occasionally, they do. It's mostly Rowan and Rizzo.
