New Village Woes

I'm starting my second, Vacation-Resort-Relaxed town and I'm just getting the ugliest villagers... first Rodney, now Moose is coming next... any weird coincidences like this from restarting?

Yeah I just restarted and I don't like any of my ugly animals... so much regret

My brother reset and he ended up with Goose, Diva and Hazel. xD

Actually, the majority of villagers that one usually receives in the beginning of starting a new game (Unless you are lucky), mostly consist of "ugly" or "low tier" villagers that are not as recognized or "well known" as the others. It's not because they simply chose your town to move into, but because there's just a vast majority of those villagers who just are. I feel your pain. I had restarted my town about a year and a half ago, and I was only lucky enough to get one great villager that surprised me, and it was Marshal. Since then, I just started to try to save up my TBT to purchase villagers I did like so that I didn't have to worry about seeing characters I really had no feel for when starting up my game everyday. It really helped boost my motivation and enthusiasm a lot more when seeing all of my dreamies coming together, one by one

I feel your pain! I guess there are just more 'ugly' villagers than cute ones, although everyone has different opinions on what is cute and ugly. I'm kind of glad I've been getting less popular villagers in the town I just started because I'm not sure if I would have given them a chance until now and they are really growing on me.
