I have a new town?just in time for Christmas?and it is named Toy Day.

On August 8, 2019, I posted a topic thread titled ?Villagers for a Christmas Town? (https://www.belltreeforums.com/showthread.php?470295-Villagers-for-a-Christmas-Town&highlight=). I asked Bell Tree Forums members which ?Animal Crossing: New Leaf? villagers would well-represent a town for this particular holiday. I took a number of the suggestions. (Thank you, everyone!)

In Toy Day, I opted to have five species?two for each?to represent based on both the holiday and the season. The cast of villagers are: deer Erik and Fauna; werewolves Freya and Skye; bears Tutu and Charlise; gorillas Boyd and Hans; and penguins Wade and Roald.

I have several towns, some which I have not made public (because they weren?t ready or focused enough), and I tend to not repeat villagers (from one town to another). But, due to this special theme, I made exceptions with the two deer. (Erik and Fauna are also in my town Koopie.) My own criteria was to strike a balance which includes covering all Villager Personality Categories, an equal numbers of males and females, as well as villagers who have some different fur colors which are also suitable for this town?s theme. (Charlise, with her green fur, is a good fit.)

This can be a tough theme town to design. I started it in August. But, really, I should have began two months sooner. (I completed my most acclaimed town, ACNLpics, in five months.) I mention this because there was one Public Works Project (PWP) I wanted but did not get in time: the Illuminated Tree. (I had to set a cutoff date. I opted for Friday, December 20, 2019?the date of this topic thread?so this can be appropriately timed.)

I invite all who are interested to take a tour of Toy Day. What may stand out most are the houses of the three humans: Santa (with a Santa Claus/Jingle theme); Angel (whose home design, with her bedroom upstairs, is that of an inn); and Peter (who has a toy theme with what may be an outstanding dining room).

It looks amazing im definitely gonna go check it out!

oh wow that looks wondeful, i will make sure to check it out sometime soon

Thank you, CJ8080 and Corndoggy!

I forgot to mention: When a visitor arrives in the Dream, it is 08:30 p.m. The town is dominated by cherry trees behind the houses of the humans and the villagers. Perfect fruit is cherries. In supporting roles, and along the train tracks in the north, are apple and pear trees. All bushes, covered with snow, are holly.

For anyone who takes a Dream tour, I welcome your feedback. I hope you have a pleasant time visiting.

It looks beautiful! I will visit Toy Day some time today!

I am exploring Toy Day right now and it is beautiful! I love your paths and that you put out clothing for visitors to put on. :)

It looks glorious! Like a winter wonderland that never ends, perfect for the holidays!
I'll definitely take a chance to check it out, been forever since I've dreamed any towns.

I am visiting Toy Land right now! I can't wait!

The town as a whole is beautiful! I would totally live here!

Thank you, animeshadowpanda, Chipl95, and Giddy!

Yes—I left clothes on two of the three Brick bridges (the middle and east locations; they’re closer to the Plaza). I also left miscellanous items, like coffee and a Toy Hammer, on the west bridge.

One more thing: When I came to choosing flowers, I decorated the town with only roses—white, red, and gold—for a hopefully rich appearance.

I’ll go visit this dream town tonight. It’s been a while since I went to a Christmas themed town so I’m super excited. Looks beautiful!

Just visited your dreamtown. It looks lovely! I can tell you put a lot of time and effort into making it. I love the way you decorated the houses to look so cosy and welcoming^^

PugLovex, dizzy bone, and Roobi,

Thank you!

Yes. This was important and necessary. It has to feel like Christmas. And each human’s house has to live up to the theme of Toy Day.

Here are more pictures (interior homes of Santa, with his Santa/Jingle theme; Angel, with one of the rooms in her inn as well as the breakfast/dining room; and Peter, with his Christmas dinner room; followed by the outside of Toy Day):

I meant to visit your town before Christmas, but unfortunately things got busy. So I finally got around to it tonight. I just wanted to say that your town is lovely and I enjoyed my time there very much. I loved the layout, the villagers and your houses were very cute and fun to explore. Nice work!

Thank you, LadyDestani!

I am glad you enjoyed your Dream in Toy Day.

As I mentioned in my original post: I should have started the town sooner so that I could have posted this topic thread by early-December. But, I am leaving Toy Day to be as is. It will be, just like my museum-themed ACNLpics, a showcase town.

This thread is from last year.

My bumping it is for Bell Tree Forums members who are playing “New Leaf” and would like to have a Dream in a Christmas-themed town.
