I've had this game for about 3 years, but I've just made a new town and I've just started to really get into it. I plan to keep this town and build onto it and make it better than I could imagine...

...but, what are some tips that would help me get me town together faster?

Right now, I am working on planting lots and lots of perfect fruit, making a lot of bells and expanding my home.

What did you work on first?

Definitely work on getting villagers you like in order and get them in your town, get plot resetting taken care of right away. From there you can really start to lay out the plan and landscaping on your town. :)

I always start with landscaping and unlocking. That means laying down paths, deciding where you want villagers to be, and working on unlocking main street shops like the gardening shop, Kicks, Shampoodle, and expanding Nook's.

This is a big one. I can't be bothered to plot reset and one of my dreamies just destroyed my orchard. Also if you have 3 bridges built, tear one down until all 6 have been requested.

Hmm, I feel like everything i'd thought of has been suggested already, so I can suggest on thinking of a set theme for your town. With my town I decided to make it colour themed and i've been making my town according to that vision. I think it's better if you have a theme in mind while creating your new town so you aren't stuck for ideas, because if you have everything all over the place with no theme in mind it can get a bit overwhelming and unordered. I'd also suggest thinking about what PWPs you want to build, because then it'll just be easier in the long run when trying to get villagers to suggest PWPS and landscaping your town according to the size of some of these PWPs. Good luck with getting back into the game and I hope your town is as successful as it can be! I hope this helped. :)
