New to Powersaving- (delete if not allowed)

Is it allowed to be talked about here? If so, can anyone give me some advice on how to get started?

nope, I'm 99.9% sure it's against the rules to talk about them as they can be used to cheat.
and @Miii it's a device used to create backup save files of your game along with max out your bells, spawn items, etc.​

Oh, thanks I can see why cheating to get items is bad, but backing up your save digital save file is a good idea in case you switch to another DS etc. Too bad you can't back up cartridge data... If mine breaks, I'll be so upset v.v

it's a shame that there's nothing you can buy JUST to back up your save data, because that'd be really useful. i actually used to have a powersave, as i have five towns and my main one has corrupted twice, so i got a little paranoid. unfortunately i lost it months ago, and i'm even more paranoid now XD​

if it makes you feel any better, a powersave can't get you dreamies the way hacking can. it can only max your bells & give you items and stuff. there's no way to influence who moves in/out or anything related to villagers in that sense. c:​

You can't talk about powersaving ancl BUT I remember a mod saying you can do that for Pokemon (and other non acnl games) and sell the items. (I persoanlly do not have a powersave)

you know I really don't care at all about legitimacy in Pokemon's hacked as **** economy (especially with how absurdly ridiculous it is to get anything even remotely competitively good, even with the breeding system improvements made and such), but what kind of logic is this?

What do you mean by logic? If you mean why pkmn hacking is ok but ac isn't, it's cause this is a ac website again, I don't powersave, i just stalk threads

but then again I'd argue the logic for banning ac related to it too makes no sense either, but hey. rules are rules

Well technically you can trade anything from any game that is hacked as long is it isn't obviously hacked and you don't tell people it was hacked.

I saw a mod say hacking and selling pkmn items was totally ok since it wasn't ac related

and I'm p positive a good number of people in the tbt marketplace do this too

which also explains why certain things like the 7-11 dlc items are much easier to find over there compared to the re-tail board, since they could just powersave in any regular bells or items they needed

If you want to get really literal about it, the rules just say you can't post about trading hacked items. It doesn't really say anything about discussing hacking your town or items for personal use.

pretty sure mods have closed threads before for discussion related to it (though personal use is of course fine, as they can't dictate how people choose to play the game after all), so either we need consistency for that or the rules to be updated
