New Pre-installed 2ds game transfer to my old 3ds xl system help!

Ok, so 1st of all...I suck with anything that has to do with technology!! So I was wondering if I could get a little help.

I've been wanting to get a 2ds for a while now, so I can wifi between my 2 AC:NL games. So today, I got a 2ds that has Pok?mon X pre-installed on it.

I was wondering if I can transfer the Pok?mon game from my 2ds to my 3ds xl....because viewing things on a bigger screen is much more fun!

I was looking up how to do a system transfer...and what scared me was that it says the target SD card (the SD card that is in my 3ds xl) will have things deleted, and the source SD card (the 2ds SD card) will now be the new SD card to use in my 3ds xl.

Does that mean I'll lose all the game data I have from my AC:NL games and my downloaded games that was on my 3ds xl SD card?

I can't find the option to close this thread. But I already did the system transfer and was able to get the Pok?mon game on my xl and my two AC:NL games seem fine.
