New personalities

Ive been thinking what if they added more personalities in the next animal crossing game i had only like 2 ideas so far and all it was

one thing id want for villagers in the next ac is for personality types to not be tied to the gender of the villager.

I’ve always wondered what it would be like if we had Villagers who were naturally Naughty (e.g. purposely destroying flowers and stealing things you’ve put down for decoration, giving you garbage as a birthday gift, etc). Basically they’d be kids cartoon type mischief and mayhem to the point everyone tries to avoid them. An AC game with an actual antagonist that is non threatening would make things very interesting and maybe hitting them with the Net and trapping them in Pitfalls have the opposite effect and increases their friendship with you.

There could be two variations of that. One who pulls pranks in good nature while the other does it to cause mischief and as a way to be a bit of terror in the game. Basically the good intentioned prankster likes squirting water on people as a joke and other April Fools Day jokes and the other shoves you into Pitfalls.

I'm not sure about personalities, but I wouldn't mind if they cut back on the amount of villagers (I know this wouldn't be received well because someone's favorite might not make the cut) and made them more interesting and less feeling like props. Maybe every villager had their own unique backstory that you could learn as you befriended them more and more.

I hope lazy returns to the way it was in the previous entries. They did them wrong in NH. But other than that I can't really see there being a lot of different personality types. Like I've seen suggestions for (sorry for a lack of a better word this is how they labeled them!) nerdy/geeky and I feel like those types could just easily be implemented into normal/sweeties. They already talk about their love of cooking, gardening, reading ect.

Lazy could also be the jokesters of animal crossing to give them even more mileage. In NL they were about being chill, liking food, and something like being the funny one that doesn't take themselves too seriously would give them so much more dialogue options. And you know save them from what they became in NH. They did them so dirty.

Can sometimes steal an item in your pockets. (Like in the OG GameCube game.)
Commits vandalism.
Gets in the way on purpose. (Blocking a path or sitting down to prevent terraforming.)
Leaves trash (empty cans) outside and you have to clean it up.
Makes comments that lower your self esteem irl.
Is the villager that everyone wants to kick out.

Jokes aside that would be incredibly funny for a personality type.

I actually love this, I know all my favs are not popular so a lot would be cut but i

For some reason I could see this being a cat.
The vandalism would be a good reason to have the polishing mechanic available to the outdoors. Can we have muddy foot prints too?
New trash item. Fruit cores! We could collect them and put them in a compost box for fertilizer for crops/fruit trees and shrubs.
Banana peels cause tripping. I wouldn't want the edgy villager bullying, but thier presence in the town can make it seem more unappealing to other villagers. (Not officially with a hidden happiness bar or anything). Maybe fruit cores can have a hidden randomly placed pit fall on the perimeter.
They may be the villager that everyone wants to kick out, but hopefully there is something amazing about them if you can get their friendship high.

Also, we need more late night villagers. I mean someone being up at 3 am besides Blathers. If they bring nocturnal villagers to the table, maybe Blathers can be seen wandering the town at a certain hour at night to represent a break from the museum. Let's be real, the museum doesn't need to be open 24/7. Once you donate a creature, that's it. Unlike a store where you sell.. but anyway, the edgy villager could cause villagers who have houses within a certain radius of that villager's house to be awake and out at night more often or for a longer period of time.

NH did do lazy so dirty. Lazies are so much more enjoyable in new leaf.
Also I love the evil hamburger helper hand. It makes me think of funny alternatives to the commercials that would be so crazy to see on tv. Beyond the hand's expression changing during the commerical.. I could see it like smacking the pan when the lady turns around or adding spicy seasonings when she turns around. Hey could be good marketing for some spicy or fusion favor things..
