New or Used?

Hi!
Currently I play AC:NL on my friends 3DS so I don't actually have my own village for New Leaf.
I am planning to buy a 3DS/2DS but I don't know which one is better.
If I can find a used 3DS that will be an option, if not I will go to walmart or whatever and buy a 2DS.
What should I buy? A new 2DS or a used 3DS?

It's really up to you. What would you prefer to have - a 2DS or a 3DS? Neither of them is really 'better'. They both do the same job. The biggest difference between the two, besides the 3D obviously, is mostly cosmetic.

Whether it's new or not shouldn't be too big a factor as long as it's still in good condition.

Personally, I'd choose the 3DS since it's more 'compact' than the 2DS. The prices really aren't that much different anyway, which is why I prefer the one with more features.

It really depends on the price differences. How good is the condition of the used 3DS? Is it like new? Also consider other things such as, do you actually want to use the 3D?
I've never used the 3D properly because I don't really like it. It's not the most amazing thing in the world anyway and makes me feel a bit dizzy after a while.

You'd be better off asking yourself this question, rather than other people. We don't know your preferences after all.

I was doubting about a 2DS but now I don't regret my choice at all.
My partner has a 3DS XL never actually used the 3DS.

We both find my 2DS way more comfortable to play either AC and Mario Kart than the 3DS XL.

The fact is that the 3DS is more compact but if you use bag you can still take your 2DS everywhere, I always have mine.

If the money is not a problem for you and the 3DS is like new, then take it. But if you thinking on saving some money the 2DS is worth it.
If its a normal 3DS off course if it is a XL then I will recommend a 2DS for sure

I've never had any problems buying used, so as long as it's in good condition, I would go for it. I haven't tried a 2DS but I've heard they're nice.

Nintendo is having a discount on the systems and from my experience, bidding for one on ebay for a lower price is kind of difficult and might not result in a perfect system.

As for how it feels, I love the 2ds.

I think that's the USA page, but I'm in Canada and they have the same deal going on, except with a smaller choice in colours.

You'll want a used 3DS more, it has a higher retail value in secondhand shops and it also folds and has 3D. In case you sell it you'll get more for it because of the higher functionality.

I just got a 3DS XL with 37 games on it for $150 in perfect condition, so yeah, buy used.
