New Neighbor Moving In When I Already Have 10

So I was talking to Kid Cat and he said some friends of his said they saw a stranger at the train station and that it meant that we were getting a new neighbor. The problem is I already have the maximum 10. There was a thread recently about the limit possibly being 12 but I didn't believe it. This just might be a glitch in the game but the only way to find out is for me to do the reset trick tomorrow morning and look around. Gosh, I hope this is just a glitch because I don't have room for 12 villagers or even 11.

Did you make a new human character recently? He could've been referring to that. It also could be some animal dialogue mumbo-jumbo. Otherwise, you actually are getting a new neighbor. :O

I'm willing to bet that this is the most likely conclusion, however, it is apparent that there have been glitches found in this game far long ago, haha.

I think you can have up to 11 characters at the maximum. Definitely not 12, though.

I did make a new character but that was a couple days ago.

When a new villager moves in, they usually say that somebody moved in, not ''oh hey saw someone at the station. Guess were getting a new neighbor''. Jambette is unpacking today but the dialogue Kid Cat saod just doesn't match up. He made it sound like someone else was coming.

Nobody is moving out or even suggested moving. And for the campsite, maybe. But I doubt it.

We'll just find out tomorrow :/

i've had that dialogue almost every time during plot AND unpacking, sometimes even the day after, and i've never seen it before the land plot was there. i think he's just saying that because they're unpacking

Yeah they said this about my unpacking villager today, no more than 10 im afraid.

You're getting it because of Jambette, not because an 11th villager is moving in. Ten villagers is the maximum.
