I was playing hide and seek with someone when I thought that it would be a lot of fun to do group games on New Leaf. So, I was wondering if you guys have any other good ideas other than what I've already thought of, and what you'd be interested in doing (and for what prizes)
Hide and Seek
Difficulty: Varies
Time limit: 5 minutes
# of players: 1-3
I figure this is straight forward enough. The prize varies on difficulty and time limit. Easy could be something simple like hiding only outdoors (just like when you play with villagers). Medium could include hiding inside villager or player houses, hard can include town hall, police station, re-tail, cafe, and maybe expert can include the shops on main street and the museum? The harder the level the higher the prize.
Pitfall Racing
Difficulty: easy
Time limit: none
# of players: 2-3
This one would be harder to set up, as it would involve collecting a ton of pitfall seeds. Make two (or three) rows of buried pitfall seeds. Whoever reaches the end of the row first collects the prize. The only issue I could foresee is a villager falling into the pits before or during the game, so you may need backups.
Find the prize
Difficulty: random chance
Time limit: None
# of players: 1-3
Prize: Whatever item is buried
This involves some pitfall seeds as well. Bury a prize, and then bury pitfalls beside it in a row. Each player takes a turn stepping on ONE and only one x. If it's the prize, nothing happens and they can dig it up and keep it. If it's a pitfall, well. You fall in. The amount of pitfalls buried will be the same as the number of people playing, and the prize. (So 2 players = 2 pitfall spots and one prize spot)
(I don't know if you CAN bury regular items though? I know you can bury bell bags but I've never tried to bury any regular stuff. Let me know if it's possible!)
Gyroid hunt
Difficulty: Depends on # of players
Time limit: None
# of players: 1-3
Prize: Bells or rare item
Bury one gyroid and surround it with a bunch of fossils. Whoever digs up the gyroid first wins a prize. Gyroid must be dropped so the mayor can verify it's the exact one buried to prevent cheating.
To make the game harder, you could have players re-bury the fossils they found instead of holding them and leaving the shoveled spot open. (as a hole in the ground makes it easier to mark where the gyroid wouldn't be)
I'll add more games as I think of them, but I'd love to hear what you guys come up with as well as your opinions on my games and if you'd be interested in playing them.
