New Horizons music that sounds like Wild World/City Folk?

I can’t be the only one getting Wild World vibes from the new soundtrack right? Yes it’s more island-y tropical. But 2 PM sounds a lot like AcWW 9 AM? And 6 PM sounds like a combination of Wild World instruments? I’m sure there’s more that I forgot

WW had the best soundtrack.

It's almost blasphemy to compare it to the NH dirge.

I’m not joking Wild World is my favourite soundtrack in the series too. 6 PM does sound like a wild world track imo, and 2 PM sounds like a 9 AM inspired tropical track

But then again I also think the Gamecube soundtrack and Radiohead’s Amnesiac album have similarities so maybe I’m the weird one

(legit tho, the packed like sardines song, all those synth instruments are in the Gamecube sound track I’m sure???)

Apparently there's a new K.K. Slider song in NH that's a remix of a City Folk soundtrack. I think it's of the city's daytime theme which is pretty cool.

Other than 6 PM, there’s really no similarities IMO. That being said, 6 PM IS one of my favorites...

I think NH sounds similar to WW too! I prefer NH over NL for this reason. NL always sounded too empty and cold to be an AC game, to me.

In addition to the tracks people've mentioned earlier (good shout on 2PM sounding like WW's 9AM! Although I hate WW's 9AM more than people hate NH's 2PM) 9PM sounds very similar to WW's 9AM and the title theme reminds me a lot of WW's title theme.

(sidenote: I really hope we get more K.K. music in an update purely so I can get an aircheck of Wild World)

I love WW's 9 a.m. and never made the connection to 2 p.m. until now. I do think 12 a.m. in NH sounds kinda like WW 8 p.m. And NH 3 p.m. has a similar bounce to it as WW 1 p.m.

They all sound the same to me, honestly. The soundtrack that really stood out was New Leaf’s— the other games are okay (with NH being my least favorite) but overall they all fit a similar vibe imo.

hm. new horizons’ 2pm doesn’t sound like wild world’s 9am to me but after taking a quick listen to jog my memory a bit, 6pm does have some wild world vibes to it!
